I backed him last night, not because I prefer him to Ikuvalu or anyone else but rather you want anyone who pulls on the Roosters jumper to be successful. Watched him in back play and after hit ups following the incident you mentioned and there doesn't seem to be a lot of hustle to him. To be fair he had limited opportunities but all the more reasons to sweat on half chances when they present.
You only have to look at Ikuvalu's performance to realise how quickly things can turn around in footy. Hopefully Hall uses Matt's outlook and performance as motivation if called on again.
