Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Cowboys

No mention of how superior we are this week despite losing to a good side by just 2 points last week. Playing with the ball control of a kindergarten class, we lost that game. Tonight is our chance to right that wrong against a very average side.

We are down on troops but as Robbo says we are a squad. We need to bash those Northern Queenslanders and remind the very fickle fans of this game that yes we are still the best. No excuses!

I still have memories of 2018 and 2019 against the Cowboys. In 2018 we held on to beat them by 6, the Cowboys only error came in the 79th minute of the game. It was an incredible effort from a team destined to miss the 8. Then we go back to last year. Michael Morgan is injured in Origin and up steps youngsterr Jake Clifford to lift the Cowboys to victory over the defending premiers. I am one supporter who never takes winning for granted and with the Cowboys back at hiome and coming off an absolute flogging I will be happy with a 1 point victory and no injuries

Yes the Cowboys have had the better of us the last few years. Not many sides can say hat. Still can’t believe we lost to them in that pre-lim. Only complacency will beat us tonight.

Obviously hoping for a win but won't be surprised if we lose by 4-8 points. Reasons being:

1. A long flight up there on game day. Biggest concern
2. They got flogged and will want to put in a better performance at home.
3. Injuries obviously.

2017 PL isn’t really a nightmare for me... that game is the straw that broke the back to swap out Pearce for Cronk and ultimately set up our Back to Back.. that loss was for “the greater good”
