It will be a grudge match when ever it's played IMO.

Souths have to be Rd 1. I just love beating them first game.

Nathan Merrett in the clear with only Myles in persuant, he is going to score I have my head down between my legs. All I can here is the Souths crowd rawing, then from no where I just hear a different crowd rawing it's the Roosters crowd. I look up & Merrett has just coughed the ball up untouched. PRICELESS

      Chook.
Canterbury are looking to make a motza on a home game against the Roosters knowing their rabid supporters will flock to the ground in a hate filled frenzy champing at the bit to scorn both Sonny Bill and the Roosters. They banned him playing our game for a period of four years why should we bow to their demands now. Like others here, I prefer to start our season against South Sydney, Probably a tougher nut to crack but we owe the dogs nothing.

The Dogs owe others plenty as you mentioned Dubai, but I think morally SBW owes them a packet.
Maybe thats the wrong way to put it, but if I was a Bulldogs fan I would be still be very dirty on him and want him to get smashed.

But the Roosters owe the Dogs nothing so leave the fixture be.

Try and be serious and you will look stupid

BTW in my opinion SBW owes the Bulldogs a huge amount, firstly because they took him and developed him and secondly because he shafted them. Regardless of compensation etc, the score is not even by a long shot
WTF does the Roosters owe the Bulldogs? This ravenous whore house of a club won a premiership in 2004 at our expense with a team that should not have been allowed to be kept together.. They are scum and regardless of what SBW did to them, it is not our clubs responsibility to compensate them in any way, shape or form. You completely miss the entire point of this exercise. The Bulldogs want to cash in on what would be a massive gate taking in Round 1. This is our game with the Rabbits.. they can wait their turn and play us at home in round 23 or some random week.. i am glad you are not involved in running this club.

THey are dirtbags.

            They are owed nothing.

Ain't gonna happen, we always play Souths round 1 !! Plus the doggies are completely a different club from back when SBW walked out.
New coach, a whole new roster of players and new coaching staff. It should draw people to the game when ever it is played, I don't see why it has to be round 1.
