Saw Wolfpack boss on news saying that he would rip up SBW's contract so he could go home and play here as the Wolfpack won't be playing in 2020 but will be in 2021.

What if SBW finished the season with us?

I'm not sure how much the bloke has left in the tank though. Defensively he looked pretty good with Toronto in the little action he did see. Got through a mountain of work on the defensive end. He looked rusty in attack though. It makes me wonder how much game time he's going to need at what? 35 years old? Especially to find that crucial game fitness

Wait until they find out this whole pandemic thing was a Nick Politis plot.Last edited by ROC181; 07-23-2020, 08:37 PM.

From what I saw playing for the wolf pack. He looked good in defence. Was everywhere and backing up for other people misses.
He was definitely rusty in attack. But I honestly believe that wasn’t his fault. He tried offloads that no one was running on to. Passes that no one could catch. At the blues in rugby or roosters in the NRL their would of been a player to catch that offload or catch that pass. He definitely won’t be that 80 minute guy but he has the potential to turn a game on its head.

As for King Salvo, I suggest you get some facts checked because some of the stuff you mentioned is incorrect. If he arrives to Australia, like movie stars that are arriving at the moment or even that English prop, they have to isolate for the required period and that's it. the other info like visa and Toronto stuff is also incorrect....anyway we'll see.
Gotta ya JFC!
If we get him, I hope I’m very very wrong.
If he becomes a Rooster again, how many games do you see us getting out of him?

After all, he had not been exactly setting the super league alight and that was in a substandard competition as well.

As for Cronk being a big influence on the team, yes you are right but SBW was a big influence on us winning in 2013. The difference between the 2 is that Cronks position on the team affords him that extra bit of influence on the team over a backrower, but off-field Sonny also brought a lot of professionalism that we hadn't seen for a while.
Cronks influence got us two premierships in the final two years of his career. SBW got us one in his prime and an average second season. I hope he can be as influential this time and help us to another. If he can help us to a three peat, I don’t care what else happens!FVCK CANCER

Sonny had a handshake deal with Nick that if he came back to the NRL it would be with us. As these are unusual circumstances, and time has moved on beyond when either party probably contemplated his return might happen, his manager was probably making sure Nick would be OK with him playing elsewhere. I can’t see him playing for us.

thing is robbo is so on the ball that this can't be a bad thing. even if sbw does his acl in the first minute of his first game he won't contribute less than asu would have contributed. but, glass half full, sbw could help us. robbo won't look on sbw as the difference between winning and losing. he'll ease him into the team. this team has achieved good things without sbw and doesn't 'need' him. could he be useful? abso-****ing-lutely.
