Having SBW back at the club in any capacity can only be a positive. Doesn't matter if its on the field or off the field- bring him on!

How freakin funny is the reaction of all the NRL world that he may come back to the Roosters.

Cronk goes- replaced by a kid who was behind Moylan, Townsend & Johnson at the Sharks.

Latrell leaves and is replaced by a 34 year old who is playing year by year......and its revealed that theres money left in the cap and social media went nuts!!!

It would only be a Nick 'shiny toy' moment if serious. Robbo wouldn't want it Id hazard a guess, but would never say so obviously. SBW was showing signs in 2014 of being tested.
When Sonny offloads to Teddy on his first carry to score under the posts, you'll be eating your Fur Coat Jack!

I tell ya what, can you imagine the current players knowing Sonny is going to join them for the remainder of the season? I doubt there is a bigger personality in the world of rugby including league. Cameron Smith is nothing compared to SBW. SBW is known worldwide and all those players that haven't had the opportunity to play with him in 2013/14 would be just excited to have him at the club and will absorb everything he does, which in the end will help them and help the team.

Funny how the Raiders sign Corey Harawira-Naera today and no one bats an eye lid, yet we are rumoured to sign SBW and the whole league has gone wild hahahahaha

Everyone claiming it’s not fair as SBW should go to the Warriors as they need the help, bunch of muppets!

Sorry mate. It’s not about fame. We love what Sonny brought to the Roosters but he’s no Cam Smiff. As much as I dislike him, he’s pretty much the best player many of us will ever see.

I have eaten enough of it already as I was against him signing the first time!

              Seen how that worked out.

He is still being paid by Toronto because it was their call to opt out of the Super League for this season so they are somewhat paying for us to have him, how smart are we? Well I mean the club. He still has another season for Toronto next year so he's probably looking to stay in shape for next season which is why it suits him to play for us rather than a struggling club where he's going to have to kill himself for nothing..
Will be lucky to play 4 regular season games and will need AUS Government approval to come to Australia being a Kiwi too. He will have to relinquish his Toronto contract before signing as you cannot have both a ESL/NRL contract. He is only considering it but I hope he says no as already the circus has begun with players paraded at press conferences and being asked about him playing etc etc. They have an important game this weekend and need to be focusing on this.

In regards to the 'fame' I mean that the players will be exited to have him in the squad. I doubt any of our player would be jumping for joy for having played with Cam Smith, where as SBW is the biggest name in the rugby's since Jonah Lomu!

As for King Salvo, I suggest you get some facts checked because some of the stuff you mentioned is incorrect. If he arrives to Australia, like movie stars that are arriving at the moment or even that English prop, they have to isolate for the required period and that's it. the other info like visa and Toronto stuff is also incorrect....anyway we'll see.

                  Gotta ya JFC!

You’d only get dispensation if you had that many injuries that you couldn’t name 21 each week - we aren’t that bad.

We will have to release a player - I imagine a fringe first grader will go (Hutch, Asu, E.Butcher etc) to someone who needs them desperately (probably the warriors). As mentioned in the SMH article, we’ll most likely look at players off contract next year and offer them to leave now and go somewhere else since they aren’t getting game time anyway
Thanks for the heads up NorthChook.

                        • Wasn’t there similar criticism when Bennett brought Langer back for origin? Sonny may be getting there in age but we have seen with the Morris boys that being surrounded by class can ignite a “second wind” ... don’t count SBW out cos of his age... that would be a massive mistake.

                          • What an absolute privilege it would be to see Sonny in our colours again. Anyone who thinks he is too old is delusional. Sonny is known to be supremely fit and the ultimate professional. He is not going to ruin his legacy by placing himself in a position where he can’t live up to his reputation. If we get Sonny I will be cracking open a bottle of Mo?t.

If you don’t want Sonny to return than don’t watch!

The Roosters, the gift that keeps on giving......

                            • Talk about nostalgia, the game is past SBW, he'll add very little to our squad.

                              • i haven't seen him play since 2014 so i don't know where he's at but if robbo wants him that's good enough for me. we've got a squad that can win it so we don't have to ask too much of him. you'd figure he'd play reduced minutes at least in early games.
