From an entertainment point of view I’m not too disappointed that Butcher got dropped.

To me Butcher has been playing busted for a while now.

The one about Joey Manu was. The guy is 6”4’. How is he suppose to bend down and pick up a ball from dummy half!?

Tough game for Liu tonight coming back so soon after breaking a rib - will be very sore (like Butcher is going through but probably worse)

Can't see Gus playing 13 - not his style (at the Roosters anyway) and he is playing great on that right edge, wouldn't interrupt that. Also not sure if he has the hands to be that link player we need at times in the middle

If Liu needed a break tonight I wonder if you could have Lam play dummy half and Friend play 13 for a bit. Or does Lam play 13 for a bit (similar to what newcastle wanted to do with Watson).

Otherwise I would rather put Mr fix it Aubbo at 13 than Gus as back up - happy to be proven wrong though if he does and has a blinder

Yeh Gus is no 13. I quite like the idea of Friend going to lock for a bit. About 5 years ago he played a bit of lock in a game at the SFS. Ran so hard he was fantastic. The fact that he can run hard, pass and tackle make him similar to what Rads can do. Can’t see it happening though cause why weaken one position to strengthen another. Plus Jake has been playing great this year. Who would have thought a slower dummy half like Jake could excel in this quicker 6 again style of game. I guess his experience is showing. We are lucky to have him. The toughest of Chooks. He’s the Mother Hen.

What we were doing with Rads was so effective and so successful I really hope we can find a permanent solution this year to take over this role and mimick what Radley did so well. Isaac obviously isn’t the man to do this and while Butcher has an offload he can’t pass like Rads. Lam is too slow to run up the middle. Hutchinson maybe.

The NRL are so dumb - why promote their own controversial call when they have enough PR issues with referees, try to back them up but push stuff like that on their own site
