The best we can hope for is 4th, and then play our semi final style football. But even 4th will take a big effort.

In the 2 losses since season restart chooks looked the better team in attack (I know munster was out) problem has been they don't nail the opportunites - dropped balls/forward passes/wrong options etc cruels these and although It puts pressure back on the defence I don't think Robbo will tone down the attack- maybe the players need to be more game aware and not try so hard - take the tackle and go again
Defence really has to step up as does the coaching staff as they should know what the problems are and they need to fix these pretty quickly. The last 3 games has exposed this- need to work out who will play lock and what players roles are. Way too many tries through the middle- it seems teams have worked out to expose this weakness is to move the ball across the field either side and then come back through the middle - defenders in this area are either not adjusting to the situation or reading the game or are having a rest there as they are certainly not working as a unit- moving the ball across field either side also moves Tedesco around as well.
JWH at times was playing like a second 5/8 - they seem to be searching for someone to take on Radley's role and are all having a go at it instead of concentrating on what they do best -SST is a prop not a lock as is JWH they have to play as that not another role.
Crighton will be out for a few games it seems with an MCL and Butcher has rib issues still- Liu has too So Farmer will come back into the team one suggestLast edited by King Salvo; 07-17-2020, 01:17 AM.

Maybe we need a bigger, more muscular player than Crichton partnering Cordner.
Someone like that English player the Dogs bought.
Big is better, our team is too small.

Uncharacteristic errors are killing us at the moment. Toops dropped ball vs the Storm and Ikavalu last night dropping it before big Papali scores. Some of them look off the pace or injured. JWH's first two hit ups were as soft as I have s?en from him. Jake with a few errors as well and it sets the tone and it's not like Canberra need a sniff. Still, none of these players owe us anything and if they are buggered / injured, well so be it. Still couldn't write this team off even if we finish between 5-8 if we rediscover our mojo.

Why wasn't Collins on the bench?
Why weren't things like normal?
Where was Farmer?

We need to learn how to play a slow game too...and learn to play in the wet.
I hate hard hit ups, our players can get injured, and lose the ball.
Wighton v Keary. Wighton running at express pace, no way Keary can stop him.
We needed to stop Wighton and Papalii, we didn't.
Raiders indeed were ...too big, too strong, too rough, too tough, too fast.
Until we can be that in games, our future seems not so good.
Keary and Flanno we must keep.
They cannot be expected to stop big, muscular to the max, forwards running at pace.
Big is better...Bozo was a fan.
We need to get a big, tallish, muscular-solid, tackling machine from somewhere before the cut-off deadline (or has that passed?).
Bigger than Crichton, bigger than Maubs.
