Our pack will be respected by all in 2012, hope we can keep it together for years to come!

Well said. I hate it when we have to off load players. Would love too keep this forward pack together for next few years.

I would have every forward in our pack except FPN to be considered ahead of him and be more of a priority.

Then you're not a very good judge of players, he was our best forward other than Ryles last season, his game and work rate improved more than any other player

Very true Billy Gunn. JWH matured a lot last year. A few silly mistakes in the first part of the season but he improved and played very consistently. I'm not really sure what people want from him. I am a big fan of The Beast. The kid is awesome.

I like the mongrel in Hargreaves.

He scares the opposition & should be retained if possible.
Loved by few, hated by many, respected by all.

I can't see any reason why it wont be possible for us to offer a good deal to him. Wish our club would announce some bulk re-signing like Brisbane just did to enter the season.

Tasi, Cordner, JWH, Masoe & Guerra all signing 3-5 year contract extensions... what I'd do to see the day.

In the back end of the season his work rate improved massively.. I think people's expectations were way too high for a guy who was straight out of NYC..

they should all be retained and as good as SBW could be, I still cannot see how his signing could be justified if we lose the guys you mention above. Of those Guerra who was great last year would be most expendable but losing anymore would be a backward step and not to mention how much of our budget would be constrained to improve our backline.

would much prefer to keep all those guys rather then lose 3 or 4 of them so we can sign sbw

Surely we should be able to fit SBW in without losing many of these young second rowers. We already released Myles and Carney and seeing the back of Anasta and Mini after this year must free up an enormous amount of cap room...??

Masoe, Guerra and/or FPN may well be in the firing line though...

Yes but we need to improve the backline too.. My point was signing SBW may not allow us to do that.

It's a tough call. How long do you give young guys like RTS, Moga, Tagive, Wells and Henry to impress before you move into the market for an established back? I'd be disappointed if we bought Dugan or Gordon before these guys got a chance to show if they have what it takes. The Maloney purchase was astute mainly because we had no juniors coming through pushing for that spot. That is certainly not the case in the backline.

You are joking Billy. FPN was our worst forward last year. He turns it up, he doesn't get involved in the hard stuff.

And please dont give me the answer of "your not a good judge". Mate the games that I attended last season, it was unanimous amongst Rooster supporters that FPN should be a Newtown. They should off load him immediately.

Billy Gunn has just rated FPN & you come in with Very True. JWH matured alot last year.

JWH is worth persisting with, FPN needs to get over to Marrickville & start training with the Jets.
