Why were there a fake horn and 'viking clap' noises over our PA system last night?

Not saying it swayed the game or anything (we played like Souffs in defence and that's that - not gonna discuss it further haha).

But like, why did the Raiders get to play their horn, 'viking clap' (which I've never seen actually happen at a game BTW - such a myth) and cheezy techno play over OUR PA system? I didn't attend (COVID-19 and all) but TBH that's the exact kinda show you get at a Raiders home game.

Why didn't we use our home advantage and be like 'lolz no horn... just silence if you guys score... no fake Raiders chants over the PA and no cheezy techno during periods where the Raiders are deciding what to do with a penalty...etc'.

It didn't sway the game but it was our home game and there is no chance the Raiders would have a fake 'BOOM BOOM BOOM EASTS... BOOM BOOM BOOM' going over their PA + a rooster crowing out loud every time we score. A home game doesn't give you much so you've gotta use what you can take IMO. Roosters should have a DJ who mixes up tunes + SFX in line with our team rather than treating our home ground like a neutral venue.

I was at the game and didn’t notice it - were you at the game or watching it on tv - just thinking maybe it was part of the tv coverage - then again I might not have noticed it at the game as I was probably screaming at Sutton calling him a cheat every time they played it.

the roosters PA system this year has a loop of the Easts Chant for the last 5 minutes before the game that blends into the Easts song as they run on - nice home crowd atmosphere builder

Now they're taking over the home games of other teams with their stoopid horn and clap crap.

It wasn't ANZ and a Grand Final...but it sure looked and felt like it...maybe the NRL took the game over.
If Roosters club was responsible...they should look at the result and what they contributed to it...and stop with allowing such things.

That's the hillarious thing about the 'Viking clap'... but for the ad with a bunch of actors going [perfect sync] CLAP... CLAP... EEEEF!!!! literally nobody does it. You will never hear it at a Raiders game and it's totally not a thing.

Did anybody tell them that if you're gonna have a chant, the FANS make it, not a boardroom full of CCP insiders who only sponsor the club in the hope they'll get exclusive access to the Canberra elite via the Raiders' board It's pathetic.
