  • Robbo needs to address this?

Regardless of how well we played or didn’t no team should lose matches due to incorrect ref decisions. Against the storm there was a knock on in the play the ball before the winning field goal and again against the raiders the bunker failed to rule that Morris had been interfered with. Video replay shows both decisions were incorrect. A fair loss is palatable but 2 losses so far have involved crucial referee or bunker decisions that were wrong.

When these things are not questioned that is a guarantee they will continue. We need to stand up for the team when they are wronged. Robbo never looks for excuses but a bad call is a bad call and it needs to be called out. If we just roll over and always say we didn’t play well enough then they’ll just keep on doing this to us because they’re getting away with it.

We were totally dudded against the Storm but I had no issue with the calls last night; particularly the one in question.

Rapana, though he may be a piece of shit, had the right to stand his ground and position himself for the ball.

Our middle third defence was so bad last night it would have made the Broncos proud. That's where we lost that one.

as a general comment it's true that robbo doesn't make as much of poor ref decisions as other coaches do. should he change? maybe he could tweak it - maybe refs might change ever so slightly if they knew that pestilence would come down on them if they screw with us.
but - robbo has his own style and it's a successful one. nothing wrong with not being a whinging bitch when you lose.

Not too fussed cause we didn’t deserve to win either of these games. If we deserve to win and are robbed by a stupid ref I’ll be filthy but we played pathetic in both these games.

Agreed - when we lost because of our own performance using the excuse of one or two ref calls is looking for a way out and not taking ownership - luckily we have a coach that does measure this well, and focuses on the real issues and will work hard to removing them from our game.

If we are playing shit and have a coach that just dwells on how unfair it was and all the wrongdoings by outside factors than we have a Seilbold and are in big trouble

Well it has made it's way to the Fox Sports Website that it looks like the bunker got the call completely wrong as Rapana initially changed his line. Which they are correct about.

However, the biggest problem for the lost last night is the ongoing lack of respect for ball control this team continues to have.

ROBBO NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE EVEN MORE THAN THE REFEREE'S!!!!! TOO MANY ERRORS, RESPECT THE BALL AND HOLD THE GOD DAMM THING!!!!!

Our unforced errors have skyrocketed since the Storm game. Perhaps it’s time to stick to the basics early in the game and gauge how the opponent is able to cope. While pushing that flat pass or that offload has worked in many games for us, let’s get our structures set and see if we can get on top through hard runs and tough defence. Let’s play to win intelligently even if it doesn’t look like the globetrotters.

Robbo has the ability to change things when needed.

I agree it’s important for us as a team to take ownership of our poor performances but so too should the refs and bunker. I agree we didn’t deserve to win those games. We need to get back to the basics of good handling and defense. Some tries scored against us were shockingly soft very un rooster like.

The Morris pass was fine for what should have been the winning try- another one where it looked forward because Morris was tackled just as he passed it. The refs and touchies will never understand projectile motion physics unfortunately, and it is beyond about 90 % of league followers.

Rapana stood his ground and like a basketballer rebounding blocked jmoz out , nothing wrong with it.

WE shouldn't of been in that position in the first place where a incorrect call cost us the game.

Watched the game with my my Manly supporting brother last night and we talked about it. He said they been robbed a win twice this season and the NRL agreed a try should of been awarded in the last minute against Parra to give them a win.
We both agreed while it sux, our teams played poorly and never deserved a win.
I haven't seen the post match coach press conference yet but I don't think Robbo would of said it cost the game, he would of blamed the completion rate or poor defence.

Robinson will focus on what is within his control and that doesn't include the referees.

If we fix the defensive errors we made in both those games we win both and probably quite comfortably.

Whinging to the refs about their errors when we made plenty of our own is wasted energy. Glass houses.

I think the raiders coach needs to take a few lessons from Robbo.

Apparently the raiders were hard done by again by the officials , listen to his press conference.

Trent needs to address our middle defense first and foremost. Even when we used to drop plenty of ball, our defense stood strong and repelled the opposition and broke their spirits. Last night was unbelievably bad. We really miss Radley, and I think it highlights Butcher’s defense in the middle goes unnoticed by us supporters.
had we won last night via the disallowed Ikavalu try, it would’ve plastered over our deficiencies, and we would hailing the great spirit of the roosters to come back and win. This loss could be a blessing in disguise and will hopefully alert our coaching staff to the areas that need a little more attention.
we are still the best team in the comp, and it’s ours to lose. Once the Bondi Wall is reconstructed and we complete noir sets a little more regularly, we will lift that trophy aloft as we did in ‘18&’19.

Yes everyone is against him apparently. Even though the journos were licking his balls he still had a go at "you lot" for "not giving us a chance". Cringeworthy.
