The concern for me is where would the kid play in our top team before his contract is up end of next year?
Keary is at the peak of his powers and I can see him running around for atleast another 3-4 years.
Kyle Flanagan is coming along nicely and has a big future in the game.
So if the Walker Bros end up taking over a First Grade team in the next couple of years, be it the Warriors or another Club you can’t blame the kid for following.
In saying that he looks a freakish talent and would be a real shame if he’s not a long term Rooster.

People don't get it, Walker is not guaranteed to be the next half in first grade.
Both Lam and Coby Thomas have played against men, infact both playerd (or selected) in sanctioned international games . Lam for PNG and Thomas for South Africa.
I am not knocking the kid, I hope he does become the next great half for us, but the crap being written about him is ridiculous, as I said let him play against men before giving him a rapThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

I seriously doubt that young Sam and his family is expecting him to walk into the NRL in the next couple of years. They signed with the Roosters because the believed it was the best club for him to develop his talent long term, not because they saw it as the easy path to the top grade. Have a look at what the club have already done for him.......he went to Europe with the team for the WCC, he's been taken into our bubble and had the rare opportunity to train and learn from some of the best coaches and players in the NRL. I can't see him leaving us any time soon, regardless of where his father is coaching

Current contract is 300k - 2years.
He's young...also skinny.
Cleary is big...killing it at top of the ladder.
Flanno must be our 7 going forward.
He's good, very good....top goalkicker.
Flanno is one half, Keary the other.
If Walker is as good as said, he could be trained to be able to play 6 or 7 with ease.
First grade is not the juniors.
In FG you have to be able to stop Kikau...our team has not been able to do that yet.

Lam looks to me a better dummy half prospect than a halfback at this level anyway. He has a good nuggety build and not afraid to make some tackles and has some good footwork and passing ability.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
