Thanks for the memories, best wishes.

Big is better, he's very young and very small...not likely to be able to stop Kikau.

We should use the money on bigger players...must be another Freddy out there.
You seem to have a fascination for size, bigger is not always better. Alfie would strongly agree with me.

The funniest part is that our superstar half - the best 6 or 7 in the game - is only a little fella.

        Alfie and Luke are exceptional.
Players are heavier than they used to be.
        Big, strong, fast.
        Panthers.

I hope so Brain, but you know as well as I do how many super starts have been buried when they come up against the big boys

Both Lam and Coby Thomas have played against men, infact both playerd (or selected) in sanctioned international games . Lam for PNG and Thomas for South Africa.

I am not knocking the kid, I hope he does become the next great half for us, but the crap being written about him is ridiculous, as I said let him play against men before giving him a rap
You are the one who clearly doesn't get it. The club has given Walker the royal treatment, in convincing him to come to the club and since he has joined. Flown to Europe and England for the WCC, that he wasn't eligible to play in, being included in the bubble. You have this obsession about playing with men but you can't join the dots. Robbo is a very careful planner and he would have a program in place for Walker at this club to be our next number 7. For sure it might not happen for one reason or another but don't think for a moment that Walker isn't ahead of those other guys.

Cocky I hope he does become the next big thing.
I have seen the Rooster throw money at players before and as 18-20 year olds thrown in to Ron Massey Cup and basically thats the end of them.

Its a gamble the Roosters are taking and this kid is deemed worth the risk. I actually suspect the Roosters will take their time with this kid especially as he is not big and that is sensisble.
But people having him playing NRL this year or next and I just don't think its going to happen. I hope that in a couple of years I am telling everyone how great he is.
But he needs to be judged in the context that he is and that is as an U18s player

Put it this way,,,,he has the foot work & running game identical to Ponga with the brains of a halfback. The kid understands the science of footy already at this age thanks to his Dad

Didn't we say similar things about Pearcey while Finch was the incumbent?

Flanno signed a two year deal; after which time I can see him at the Dragons under his dad tbh.

I wouldn't want him to go, as he's developing into a gun half and a great goalkicker.

But if this scenario were to eventuate then I can see it being Sam Walker's entry into 1st grade in 2022.

Your right pearcey shouldve and couldve..but pissed the partial ability away.

What's to say Walker won't join his dad and uncle(s) at the Worriers?

He was fed to the lions (Locker, Thurston, Cronk,Inglis, Slater etc) at such a young age. Same as Mullen and others. Confidence took such a battering.

I think Walker is the plan to take over from Keary at 6 with Flanno as the long term 7. Flanno is developing into a leading halfback & has all the attributes of Nathan Cleary but he is 3 years behind him in experience & body growth but when Flanno is 24, 25 he will be our gun organiser & kicker.
I have never seen Walker play so I have no idea how he will go playing NRL but I agree he must have something going for him to be bought by the Roosters in the first place & then taken O/S plus be included in the bubble.
