  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Warriors

Today is our opportunity to right the wrongs of our last 2 losses. The games that we lost rather than the opposition winning. It’s time to concentrate on our game and getting back to basics. Completing our sets and no soft defence.

Let’s not kid ourselves, The Warriors are the weakest of opponents. Cleary they do not want to be here and they get worse by the week as they yearn for the soft touch of their Mummy’s bosoms back homes. They offer nothing in attack and are defensively weak. It really is a gift 2 points. There is no reason why we can’t win comfortably today if we just concentrate on playing our own game. Rebuild The Bondi Wall. Keep them to zero.

Let’s make these ‘Warriors’ wish Kiwis were banned in Australia. Let’s get the interim coach sacked too!

    GO ROOSTERS!!

Anything less than a 30 point win will be disappointing. Even The Sharks thumped them last week.

Also, I need some sort of compensation for having to spend 3 hours in the car with my kids today. A 50 point victory should do it.

I think we will be out to match Melbourne's big win last night and hopefully finally give a proper shove at our Gosford graveyard.

Warriors arent hopeless and I expect them to have some moments with us finishing strongly. 4 boys farewell them today so plenty of motivation.

Hope our boys give the Warriors an end of game tribute or special recognition. Their sacrifices have kept this comp going. Not a kneeling, feet washing, ring kissing grovel...a genuine gesture, like a guard of honour or a post game visit from Robbo with a gift maybe.

Thirteen....I will be there today mate, so will say gday if I see you.

                    Easts by 36.

Nice mate. Will be good to see you. I should be pretty easy to spot in a crowd of 3 odd thousand.

Todays opposition is tough, brave and relentless. It never gives an inch to us even when we are the hottest favourite, it still beats us, so much so that our record against this opponent is on the wrong side of the ledger. We can face it with all the confidence in our hearts, but are we really that strong to be successful? Only time will tell if we can beat our opponent today, Gosford stadium, or what ever it’s called today. Be brave Chookies and fight it with all your might to the bitter end, of 80 minutes! From the inspirational words of Johnny Utah in Point Break, Vaya Con Dios brave Roosters!

haha, yeah no need to get down on one knee today.

interesting to see payten come out and say that clubs have been big on coming into their dressing room and delivering inspiring speeches but when it comes to lending players not so big.

Be a tough game with rain expected - several Warrior players are playing their last game for an unknown period due to returning home so I am expecting a big effort from them and the Chooks need to be up from the get go in this game and not have the turning up and they will win attitude. A solid win with improved defence in the middle and low error rate would be the goal
