  • Warriors put in a better effort than some of their past performances - didn't make it easy although the Chooks made it hard for themselves and closer than it should have been. No use worrying that x y x is out the players filling in and all others just have to do their jobs. It's a simple game - tackle/catch/pass and run - all have to do the same thing at times just do it the best you can for whatever time your on the field for

    • Keary did say after the game that their focus was on defence all week which might explain some of the clunkiness in attack... will need to improve though!

      • No Cordner no Angus no Radley no Verrils no Tupou, have I forgotten anyone? I'm relieved we won. No surprise we're struggling. The next 2 are must wins.

        • Most important thing is we got the 2 points and no injuries..

          On to next week!

          • Add that we should've beaten Manly and the Storm. We love doing it the hard way.

            • We were held up three times we score all three and the end result is 36-10. Were simply not being allowed to play quick, Vlandys take a good long hard look and how these inept refs officiate the games, piss poor standard. Our ball control is still utter garbage. Missing Toops so much how he gets us going. Aubo offers very little in attack, Jake is in a really poor slump of form (I believe he will come good) Joey really needs to work on his defence some of the shit he dishes up is terrible nice try though SBW could not come quick enough I’m confident he will offer a lot more then Aubo atm. Our team looks out of sync ver ugly win better then a loss so much to work on.

As Big Jack Gibson said about injured players - if you talk about missing players then you will miss them - in other words they aren't playing so those that fill in have to do the job and others including senior players have to also step up- The players are in the NRL for a reason - the basics are still run/pass/tackle/catch- some kick of course -that doesn't change whoever is playing - its not like if you lost your 2 fast bowlers in a cricket match to injury and had to have your two openers who may only bowl in the nets for fun or not at all replace them.

Vlandys is full of shit, talks about wanting an entertaining league, then allows the manipulation to allow storm and co. to spoil the ruck, how was there no 6 agains for that entire second half

Their "entertainment" is just having different fairytale premiers each year, totally see thru.

                    • That was disappointing but not unexpected. A bit of the Gosford hoodoo, the players missing plus the compulsory mid season slump, it all points to losses. Thankfully we won it cause it was heading the other way!

Storm and Raiders miles offside when we played them. The chip kick over the top of a rushing d is the go as Luke, and also Flanno , demonstrated today . Ugly win but way better than a 'loose' ,lol. Hetherington has the hots for JWH hasn't he ?Either the bloke can fight like a threshing machine or he is insane .

Give Vlandy a break. He’s doing Beatties job as well as Greenturds plus he can’t be monitoring every game with a stopwatch checking on the tackles but I agree that there were no 6 again in that half even when the warriors were just not getting off the tackled player many a times. That’s the ref mini Sutton’s and older Sutton’s fault.

                          • Seems I’m in the minority but I think that was a great, positive win.

Our squad players got extended minutes in a battle of attrition, and had to dig deep. It will put them in good stead later in the season.

Don't be surprised if Lam ends up playing a key role in our finals run (and hopefully speaking, 3-peat).

Loved the Jared/Hetherington battle which after the initial eruption, Bill Mullins’ nephew lost the stomach. Was a bit spewing that Jared dissed him after full time, but alpha dogs do what they need to do, I guess. I’m sure after they got in the sheds he’d have gone and said hi

I’m tracking his flight right now and he’s over London on an Emirates A380 as we speak.
