This is a good and thought provoking thread BUDDY.

I thought I should clarify that I did not believe for a minute that we would tank (like the Melbourne Demons did in the AFL), but I hoped that we would not do anything that was akin to behaviour associated with tanking. I think the word 'sacrifice' could be incorrectly interpreted or misconstrued, that's all. Perceptions can be a powerful thing - not so much from the point of view of opposition supporters, but more from the game's officials. I would never want to see our fine club risk tarnishing its well earned, great and long established reputation. Robbo and co have simply worked too hard in modern times to run the risk of doing that.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Interesting to hear Munster talking about how he will give himself every chance to play as he wants to test himself against Keary..
Also Cooper indicating Cameron Smith will more than likely play this week
I would be surprised if Bellamy rested any players, he will want to make a statement against a injury hit team!

Munster being out and Smith being rushed back is sorta a good sign moving forward TBH. We seem to be giving our players (e.g. Crichton and Cords... possibly Toops) more time to recover without losing games.

I reckon this will pay dividends later on because we're not just resting players, we're giving our depth players a crack at 1st grade.

This coming week who's coming back? IMO we'll have a serious crack at the Drizzle. I expect us to win.

Melbourne are the only team ahead of us on the ladder that we play so if we want a top 2 finish this is is a must win, the fact Bellamy will risk playing Munster and Smith says one thing he has ZERO confidence in the rest of his team to get the job done against us, we need this more then they do I hope Jared and Boyd are back and unleash that mongrel on the Storm pack, and at least JMoz back in the team, we no longer have the best P/D I hope we go all out against them.

The good news is that we play the Knights, Faders and Souffs so it's within our power to keep them outta the 4.

IMO it's a tough run home, our season has been stunted (Riff, Parra and Drizz started the season 4 points ahead of us), Robbo's prepared for it, SBW joins our camp imminently (massive morale boost for the troops) and our fringe players give us more depth than any other team coz wait... we have DEVELOPED them.

The Drizz won't be so lucky this time. Milking penalties and having the refs miss game breaking errors doesn't better you. Lightning won't strike twice for the Drizz... all we'll see is a lamearse sunshower over Bondi Beach, with a nice big rainbow at the end.

I hope Smith and Munster both play, we need to beat Melbourne with no excuses.

Would be interesting to see which team the refs "manage back into" that game!

Interesting comment from coach Cleary wasn't it?

I reckon..If Parra lose to Cronulla today, then Smith wont play because the Storm will have a game in hand over Parra if the storm lose next week.

What if Cronulla lose to Parra today & the Storm win next week but Smith doesnt play who will have a game in hand then, is it Parra Cronulla or Melbourne?

Good on him for doing it even though they won. Coaches and players not allowed to say anything about refs is ridiculous everyone else in public life is allowed to be criticized for their shortcomings.
The only people who say anything about refs are fans , meanwhile the Sutton regime control the refs ranks like the mob.

It was. I felt he gave voice to what many were thinking, myself included.
