Roosters stars Josh Morris and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves are both expected to return from calf injuries against the Storm on Thursday.
A club official said the experienced duo could have played against the Dragons in round 13 but were kept on ice as a precaution.
Winger Brett Morris (back) is also in the frame to play. The veteran is almost certain to return next round if he isn't right this week.
The Roosters said there is a "question mark" over Angus Crichton (knee) while winger Daniel Tupou (ankle) is "close to no chance" of an early return.
Captain Boyd Cordner is still working back from a concussion.

Cordner is a worry long term, I’d haute to lose him into early retirement. I’d love to see him retire at the end of his current contract ( which is another 3 years I believe). He will be a roosters legend alongside Artie and Mini and Freddy as captains of grandfinal wins

Give them all the time they need. If we play them too early, then no way Robbo can get them up to the intensity that he wants for the finals series IMO.
The last 2 seasons and we went to a different level at the backend and so resting these players now who are not really match fit could be the difference between the 3peat and getting bundled out.

Interesting Teddy also said that Cordner was having a contact fitness test tomorrow and is a small chance of playing Thursday.
No use giving Melbourne a leg up before game day.
