We will miss Flanagan's goal kicking and he has taken a battering from tackling big edge backrowers.
Have to agree, I think Robbo is concerned about the amount of work that Keary and Teddie are having to do in attack.

In recent weeks teams have done a much better job on Teddy (and to a lesser degree on Luke). This is partly due I think to Flanno not asking enough questions of the defence at first receiver.
It's scientifically impossible for Easts to be in Souths' shadow when there's daylight between them and us.
    Easts to win

    • I'm just glad we actually still drop people....we haven't dropped anyone in 3 decades!

Old skool...Jack used to drop guys who looked at him funny.

Keeps everyone on their toes which is good.

One is used for precious millienials, the other adults.
So Ryan Papanhuyzen was dropped for Nicho Hynes?

And Cronk was dropped against Newcastle last year?

Pretty sure Manu and Mitchell both got dropped at different times in their early days. Happens more regularly then people like to think

          • If Kyle got dropped on form then why didn’t Hall also as he’s been atrocious, the very worst player in the team by far? There seems to be more to this than just form. Who’s going to kick goals and Flanno has had some good games but with the injury toll we won’t be at our best until some players return no matter who Trent drops or promotes. I would have thought Hall was first to go.

            • Does his old man work for the Dragons now ?
That might have something to do with rest this week ?

Because Lam (current second choice half) is available and training/performing well, Hall would be behind Tupou (injured), Bmoz (injured), Billy Smith (injured), Ikuvalu (filling in on other wing), Kepaoa (released). The only other option left is Tuipulotu who is a centre/wing - only 18 without any first grade experience and hasn't played any football since March with no reserve grade.

With Lam vs Flanagan Robbo is working out the best end game option for this season (I assume he just wants to put a little pressure on Flanagan to speed up his development for the back end of the season - like he has done in the past with Latrell, Manu etc but if Lam takes his chance and has a great go, Robbo will have 2 options to go with). Hall is very much a fill in option to just hold that position until Bmoz or Toops returns (Bmoz should be back next week)

                      • Look no further than the Australian cricket team nearly every great batsman came in young then hit a rough patch and got dropped . They went away worked on their game returned and went onto great careers, it's not the end of the world and is good for ones character.
I bet Robbo is watching him closely that he won't drop the lip and will cop it sweet and work on his game and just as an outside observer he looks like he will take it on board and be doing just that.

                          Team first Tommy.
Surely you’d agree that edge needs a lift?

Didn’t Matthew Hayden or Justin Langer get dropped and not make it back for 10 years?

Same with Freddy, he told a story of Gus dropping him when he took over from Ron Wyllie.

                              Suck it up Flanno!
