Potentially he could be a great player.
If his runs didn't result in lost balls like they tend to on many occassions, I think he'd be pretty good.
His grabbing defence is ordinary.
His ability to draw and pass is very average.
He is certainly worth persisting with cause he can do things other players just can't do.

Not a legend, but he is a very good player.
Last year like someone posted the Roosters from the top down just didn't perform.
Tell me if I am wrong but wasn't SKD injured for alot of 2011?

Tough skill to master,that one..
We all know he has the ability to destroy a defence and create a scoring opportunity and in that department he can be one of the best. In 2010 he was arguably the form centre in the NRL. But his major flaw was fully exposed last season that being - he has no idea when to take the tackle and work to the next play. Complete the simple act of going to ground, hanging onto the ball and getting up to play it quickly. Allow his team to take advantage of the break he has made and having the other team going backwards. He tries to turn every half chance into points. When it comes off he is Kenny-Dowell the legend. When it doesn't he is Kenny-Dumb the liability. He spent most of last season being the later.
OK new season - clean slate.
Things he needs to get right before the season proper begins.....
1. Ball security.
2. Ball security.
3. Sort out any problems with the girl friend
4. Develop the ability of knowing when to pass and when to take the tackle (all truly good players have this ability).
5. Ball security.
6. Develop an understanding of the fine art of centre defence. He got left standing too many times last season. Study the positioning and technique of someone like Cooper.
7. If he can't get a clean pass away - hold onto the F...ING BALL!!!
8. Ditch the one hand carries.
9. Did I mention ball security.
If he plays to his potential and Mitch A starts hitting holes again the Chooks will be a handful. Our forwards are terrifying.
Now what the hell do we do with Justin Carney?

SKD is certainly an enigma !
I find when he doesn't have to think about things, just use his instinct, he is one of the MOST DEVISTATING ATTACKING WEAPONS in the game.
but when he has to think and work through a desicion, thats where we see him come undone.
I would love to see him trust his instincts more, i mean really let the creativity flow. Once he does that, we will see some real positive and fantastic work from SKD

Carney should never play first grade at his size.
I would go with BJ & SKD but with all the wraps Moga has been getting maybe they should take a punt on him & leave BJ on the wing. Then again maybe start Moga on the wing, like how Folau started.
