Klein completely ignored the trip on Keary. Of course, if it had've been the other way around, the Steeler would've flayed all over the ground, holding his head like a Brazlian soccer player!
Lomax was milking it because there was nothing wrong with him, he then took the shot at goal.

Friend - penalty sufficient. Hall - initially, I thought "ooh, I hope he hasn't twisted that leg deliberately" and I was satisfied on replay that there was nothing in it.

However, I do feel that the criticism of Lomax is unfair. I was as incensed as anyone when Mary instructed his team to lie down a few years back, but Lomax appeared to me to be in genuine pain last night. Yeah, he got up and played on. If he was a Rooster, that would be because he's made of the right stuff. Could it be that he played with pain? Could it be that the pain subsided after a while? I think either explanation is feasible. I am happy to give him the benefit of any doubt.

I can't understand why they didn't consider an 8 point try. It was a foul in the act of scoring. Dog Act. Hall's citing is total BS. Well done Braith and the other tools at Fox.

Not a possible 8 point try as the incident happened in the field of play not in the in goal area where a possible 8 point try can be given.

            From the NRL p.17
            Possible Eight Point Try
If a player fouls an opponent who is touching down for a try, a penalty kick at goal shall be taken from in front of the goal posts after the attempt to convert the try.
            Touching down includes:
a In the act of scoring; and
b Until the try scorer regains his feet.

I agree, I wasn't comparing the two, hence why I said Vunivalu's was much worse

The main thing is that they are eligible to play next week.

In our current injury predicament, that is what concerns me.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Thanks for clarifying, I checked the rule, you are correct the foul has to be in the process of grounding the ball.

Just has to be in the act of scoring. I think..

And that wanka who did the dog shot on Keary...?

What a crock!!! Nobody on report, they just go and randomly charge 2 players over random shyte + let a blatant dog shot go without punishment.

Robbo should give Hall 8 weeks in house suspension for his attemp to ground the ball in goal that led to a lomax first try plus the defensive move he tossed up for lomax's 2nd try in the corner.

watch the replays . How does the worst winger in the world get a start in the best team in the world
poor old halldog. red rag to a bull for some.
this thread is about his suspension and there are 5 other threads where you can get stuck into him, but okay -
made 3 big mistakes in the first half and should have done better with all of them but i thought the only really bad one was being pushed back in goal. it's not the first time that's happened but it should be the last.
the two tries were obviously more significant and he should have stopped both of them but lomax and frizell aren't slouches.
if he continues to play like he did in the second half he'll get more fans on side.

Do Isaac Liu, Nat Butcher get a penalty when players target the ribs when making a carry? No, because they knew the dangers of playing while injured
                              ..it’ll be interesting to see
