I was reading this on the smh website and down the bottom says how roosters are rumored to be chasing him
IMO I'd love him at the roosters
What do you guys think of this rumour ??
Broncos in the running for Cronk
MELBOURNE Storm, Queensland and Kangaroos star Cooper Cronk does not just have the ball on a string, it seems the off-contract halfback has some of the NRL's best playmakers at his mercy.
Cronk is looking to secure a contract for next year and beyond, and has been linked to the Eels, Rabbitohs and Sharks since the middle of last year.
The response of his manager, Chris Orr, to Cronk's preferred destination next year may indicate that the 28-year-old
could be a free agent.
''I haven't spoken to anyone as of yet,'' he said. ''Not Cooper - he's been on holidays overseas - not the Storm and no one else at this stage.
''He wants to get fit, play some football and then he'll start thinking about it.''
There has been speculation that the Storm is resigned to losing its chief playmaker, and the Brisbane Broncos have stalled extension talks with half-back Peter Wallace on the premise they are in contention to lure Cronk back to Queensland.
They re-signed Jharal Yow Yeh, Alex Glenn, Dave Hala, Andrew McCullough and Ben Hunt last week, but word out of the Broncos camp is they are reserving some big dollars to make a play for Cronk.
On top of that ,Rumor has it that the Sydney Roosters are preparing to make a play for coach Craig Bellamy for 2014 and beyond,.
