robbo didn't sugar coat it did he.

wonder if there's any truth to the rumour that we were interested in him a while back. maybe he'd burnt his bridges with us.

Fisher Harris, Hass, Bromwich or Papalli are who i would hope we'd aim for to replace the huge gap JWH will leave.

Culture is everything, and Robbo would know much more than you or I. I've got no doubt he has probably had an inside word from several people and isn't purely saying this as a reaction to the news this week.

Spot on JFC, we are in a golden period right now following the Roosters with people like Robbo steering things.

I really appreciated Robbo's direct, no nonsense, unequivocal reply to Weidler's question. As to your second sentence, Johnny Tobin (IIRC) has stated that the Roosters chased TPJ to no avail.

Yes to Fisher-Harris but only if he is not part of the party group at Penrith
No to Haas, completely overrated and over paid. Hasn't proven anything. Easy to look like a hard worker when no one else is working. Bog average player run straight through him
No to Bromwich, never ever get a Melb forward. They are crap when they leave the robot city.
Papali by the time the raiders will have finished with him he will be too old. He plays well because he loves that club

Last i checked Hass was no.1 in the NRL for meters gained, 2nd for tackles made, tops 5 for offloads and top 5 for tackle busts,

And the bloke is 20 ****ING YEARS OLD!

Make no mistake - don't be blinded by the Broncos poor results - Hass is a once in a generation prop.

Your Bromwich assessment is flimsy and pointless.

You may be correct on Papalli - we possibly wouldn't get the value given his age. Can't fault his performance & dominance though.

Haas is a genetic freak and will be a great prop as long as the Broncos don't flog him and run him into the ground. I was told he did the shuttle test in 4 minutes 30 which is crazy for a man that size.
Even though the Broncos have been getting lapped he has never turned it up which can't be said for many of them in that team.

                      .
Haas needs to play less minutes to be truly effective, yes he has those wonderful stats, but he stuffs up way too much and it probly due to workload. Personally I would not touch anything that comes out of Brisbane for the next couple of years.

I can't think of too may Melbourne forwards that have excelled after moving to a different club and they all look great as robots but nearly every single one is crap when they leave

A very harsh assessment of Haas.

Under Robbo and at a club like the Roosters - with the guidance of JWH, Tauks & Cordner - Payne Haas would be a revelation.

He is a world class talent who has the sizable misfortune of being tasked with leading a forward pack at the age of just 20yrs old, and at a club with a shocking culture no less.

Ha - you are consistent BB that’s for sure. I get the feeling though if we kept everyone you have wanted to keep and bought all you want to buy(in this unlimited salary cap scenario you appear to live in) we would have no other teams to play - we would have to join the women’s comp and we would obviously be very competitive.
