FLANNO DEMANDS ANSWERS AFTER KYLE DROPPED

THE Kyle Flanagan demotion at the Sydney Roosters has created plenty of waves with the young gun playmaker seeking out coach Trent Robinson for clarification about whether he’d been dropped or rested.

The answer was the rookie halfback had been dropped in favour of fellow young gun Lachlan Lam, the son of Roosters champion Adrian Lam.

Where it gets more interesting is the Roosters were due to play St George Illawarra in round 13, the club where Flanagan’s father Shane is an assistant coach.
Shane Flanagan also sought out Roosters coach Robinson over the phone for clarification about why Kyle had been dropped last week.

Kyle Flanagan is signed at the Roosters until the end of next season but there are already rumblings the no.7 may look elsewhere beyond this season.

Aside from the good form of Lam, the Roosters also have 18-year-old Sam Walker waiting to debut in the halves.

Could we see another Ivan and Nathan Cleary situation at St George Illawarra next year with Shane and Kyle Flanagan?

Pure gutter trash journalism from James Hooper.

No doubt coach and player would have had a sit down meeting to discuss the situation. Perfectly normal.

Meanwhile the creepy journo frames it as "...demands answers..."

    **** off wanker.

I think he means Shane mate. He’s referring to how Shane called up robbo asking why he dropped his son

I thought it was poor form, if true, but you can never really be sure with some of these articles.

The truth lies in there somewhere. All I know is that Robbo would have well and truly had his reasons, and would have only handled the situation fairly and with class and distinction, as per usual.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

I think if Robbo had a problem with Flanno that you wouldn't see him in the captain's run photos.
Hooper is known as the biggest BS artist in the media. Has no credibility.

I hope this is just gutter news with no substance. I have thought young Kyle made a great start at the Roosters. I still think he is better than Lam as a future prospect, but I have wondered where we were planning to fit Kyle, Lochie, and young Walker in the next 3 years. Maybe the understanding was that Kyle would join his father after 2 years all along, If Flanno gets the Merge gig and is allowed to coach again next year then Kyle would be an obvious choice for them.

yeah, flanno 'demands' answers is probably overstating it. flanno senior was at the negotiations for his son so maybe him and robbo have some sort of relationship going. and with flanno snr maybe coaching the dragons soon he'd want to know if he'd be available for them next year.

Does Kyle stil live at home? If so I'm guesing that Dad still has a big say in his son's life. Perfectly reasonable that Flano senior might have sent Robo a mesage and asked where Kyle neds to improve and what he neds to work on.

Hooper, Rothfield et al. are experts at telling half truths and making implications in order to paint someone as a sinner or saint.

Have a closer look at the piece - every single sentence is complete and utter speculation. "making waves", "rumblings" etc. It's all bullshit sensationalism.

Take any of this sort of stuff from these News Ltd "journos" with a ten gallon drum of salt.

Does anyone else find it weird that a coach from a rival club ringing up to find out why a rival player has been dropped? Kinship aside, bit strange imo
                        ..it’ll be interesting to see

Imagine a father calling his sons employer in real life to enquire about his sons career.

Only in Rugby League. The game that keeps giving....

Especially being a coach from a rival team.
Sorry Shane, none of your business. Get back to telling Dean Young what to do.

If anyone thinks that Robbo did not make it clear to Flanno junior as to why he was dropped, they are kidding themselves. Its the first thing a great man manager would do.
