I think the only good thing to come out of tonight was how thorough an ass kicking it was.

No hiding from that one. They totally out played us, even without their two best players.

Still, I'm optimistic that we can mount a title defence from here, injuries permitting. But we, and everyone else in the NRL, need to acknowledge that we're now total underdogs.

To pull of a third from here, with all our injuries, and where we're now likely to finish on the ladder, will be nothing shot of ridiculous.

But I have a feeling we might just do it.

Season done for me. No Keary for like 4 weeks leading into finals is a huge blow, top 4 is so crucial and with the Raiders' run home they can easily snatch 4th. We need to get fully healthy asap, can't really afford to rest players anymore. Flano needs to take a huge responsibility now. Just hope this amazing team can prove me wrong

If we lose to the tigers, odds are we fall out of the top 4. To make it back in we'd basically have to win our last 5 games in a row (except for us, the Raiders play all terrible sides for their remaining games). Missing the top 4 with our injury toll is a death knell for us as we'll absolutely need that second chance or better yet the chance of a week off come finals time.

We only need to win 1 more game to make the top 8 I reckon. So I think we should just focus on getting our team healthy and fresh, even if it means resting everyone who isn't injured for a couple of weeks.

Give everyone a mini pre season and then go all out for a 4 week assault on the competition.

I feel this is now our most likely path to a Premiership rather than trying to expend what energy we have left just to make the top 4.

Storms game plan all night was hold the plsyer up and 3rd man in smashes them they did this 20 times ..as resulting in injuries.
Bellamy was always the master of bending the rules.
You all hail Vlandys Gould ,Bennet as geniuses ..I've said from day 1 the new rules one ref will ruin the game.
this is a micky mouse comp this year its egotisitically run.

But yes... IMO the Drizz would be disappointed they didn't win by more than 18 points. They got a few lucky calls at key moments and otherwise struggled to score points despite having 80% of the ball against a reserve-grade team with 3 key injuries (both halves and Mr fix-it - you can't make that shyte up!!!)

The injury toll is something that definitely needs a review ay! Whether it's us over-training, us getting penalised unfairly (hence more workload every week) or just a fukking mess, SOMETHING has gone wrong.We're the best season by a mile this season and yet we're quite literally getting to the stage where there's bo more reserve-grade players left to choose from.
