season far from over at this stage. we're sitting inside the top 4 and have half a team to come back. if you lose one game mid season it doesn't mean your season is over.

holding our breath on keary's condition. if it's the spleen he might find it hard to come back.

If we finish 5th, could it actually be a better run than finishing 4th and losing week one of the finals?

playing parra, storm or Penrith away, or Souths, sharks, knights at home.

But yes... IMO the Drizz would be disappointed they didn't win by more than 18 points. They got a few lucky calls at key moments and otherwise struggled to score points despite having 80% of the ball against a reserve-grade team with 3 key injuries (both halves and Mr fix-it - you can't make that shyte up!!!)

The injury toll is something that definitely needs a review ay! Whether it's us over-training, us getting penalised unfairly (hence more workload every week) or just a fukking mess, SOMETHING has gone wrong. We're the best season by a mile this season and yet we're quite literally getting to the stage where there's bo more reserve-grade players left to choose from.
What you find happening is the new and young blokes don't quite have the attitude and experience to play a high intensity game .Hence the regular available first graders are overloaded with work resulting in injuries.
If the players on the bench were available but had an extended break then it was a blunder by our coach...if Keary is that bad our season is over.

At the time the Storm scored their final try, our completion rate was 50% and the Storm's was 90%. This was the key stat.

That's an interesting way to look at it milanja. I guess it depends on the injuries.

The loss you need to have is when you need a reality check after winning easily a few times, this was not that. This was a loss that was easy to predict because we are vastly understrength and playing injured, and we came up against a top quality team determined to win. We looked tired, flat and out of sync from the start, we have struggled to beat lesser teams over the last few weeks, just couldn't handle the jump in class.

We don't need any loss right now...

Get 4th and we will win it all. With all the injuries need top 4 for rest.

Raiders have easy draw .... we need 4th

That other Storm game is gonna come back to bite us on the arse

True, but they had their 2 Cams out as well.

If any benefit, it's that favouratism has now gone on Storm and Penrith.

                      Bloody tough night out.

I think we’ll still make top 4. We must be only 2 or 3 weeks away from fielding a pretty strong team sans Keary. When is Toops due back? He is one guy who can make a huge difference.

Also I’m not sure the raiders run home is as easy as it looks. Teams like the titans and warriors have improved a lot and are no easy beats. They also have to play us and the sharks.

I'm more thinking about the wins we needed (and should've got).

The Roman philosopher, Seneca felt that the key to happiness in life was to maintain low expectations and anything that eventuates above and beyond the low point is a bonus - happiness in other words.. Last night was a reality check if there ever was one and surely an occasion to reset expectations. One thing it rammed home is that a good big man will always beat a good smaller man and there is always the unaccountable unforeseen like Brandon morphing into Cameron and Pappen becoming the other Cameron behind that dominant pack. Time to let the 3peat go if you value sanity. The replacements now need replacing, Teddy is going nowhere behind the current pack (Tauks excepted) and the playmaker is gorn. Time to let the 3peat go if you value sanity and embrace more modest aspirations like close losses a la the Nineties.

PC61 just concentrate on Souffs trying to scrape into the playoffs. Leave the silverware placements to the pros.
