I don't normally listen to the nine commentary as Gus, Rabs and Johns are clueless know alls.
But can someone clue me in - is this shameless group fellatio by them on the Storm their usual practice? In spite of their usual cheating tactics they were humiliated by the eels tonight, however the gambling addicts and the druggie spent most of the game making excuses for them and talking them up. Is there some third party deal to explain this? Or are they just dickheads?

Oh, also, had that been JWH and not ISufferFromSalmonella who shoulder charged that guy directly in the face, the nine scumbags would still be talking about it. In reality how can he not miss a month for that? The coward who hit the guy before Mungo did should also sit on the sidelines for a few weeks.

If NAS doesn't get 4 weeks for the shoulder charge to the head, then it will confirm that the NRL is corrupt, biased and has its own agenda.
Block of Cheese suspected broken jaw in the last 2 minutes. Just to let you know, Cheese said in an interview a couple of weeks back that he couldn't wait to play against SBW, so he could "knock his head off" .
This might just slow him down a bit.

I didn't see the game tonight - 14-0, that is a surprise.
Apparently they also have 11 out. There must be a lot of younger players or no names in that list. Not like our case.MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

TBH I'm surprised this one has been played down as if it's a minor error. It's a pretty fundamental rule of the game that you cannot have more than 13 players on the field at once.
It's assumed knowledge, so isn't even mentioned in the NRL's publicly available guide (see https://www.nrl.com/siteassets/opera...2019-final.pdf).
However, under the international rules (latest I can find online - doubt they change much), rule #1 is 'The game shall be played by two teams each consisting of not more than thirteen players on the field at any one time'.

As no punishment is outlined, I think it should be interpreted literally. There's only one way in which the game shall be played... 13 on 13. If there's a 14 on 13 situation, the game was not played because one side didn't field a proper team. Thus, it was a forfeit. Just my opinion but I reckon they'd be going down that path if it was us in that situation. Pretty sure I've observed semi-professional league games where players from other grades kicking balls around on the sideline were told not to enter the field (e.g. when their footy went onto the field accidentally) because it was okay to have 2 balls on the field, but another person from that club would count as 14 on the field and be a forfeit.Last edited by ism22; 08-21-2020, 12:51 AM.
