From last nights game I thought that Sivo is milking after seeing him stay down with a supposedly crusher, twice and I have seen it before, I think it was v Tigers, and there are others in that team doing it.


As for Parra, if they only scored 14 points against the storm reserves plus NAS in the bin where they only kicked a penalty goal in the second half, then they are lucky they amassed all those wins having had the softest draw because they are guaranteed they will finish in the top 8. They’re shit!

Gutho loves a crusher penalty too, he clutches at his neck quicker than a compo claim for a crook back.

I know what he was getting at also. I just get sick of carnts on here whining about the refs and their inconsistencies etc. It has always happened,always will. We have shown the last 2 years that their biased decisions or influence on the game will not stop the best team winning....and i actually think the refs have been very fair come finals time recently, especially toward us.

Coaches can't complain about it they get slapped with fines, it's only us fans who have a chance to rant about the refs.
The alternative is put some lippy on and pucker up for Ben Dover Cummins

Fark me Parra look like the chosen team this year aye boys. Fkn respect to Bellamy for calling them out in the presser, saying their players were staying down on purpose and shit. Keep in mind the manly forward pass, fergo knock in in their own 10 against cronulla, and the no try call which went against the dogs when moses made the decision to tackle RFM. Brandon smith got a high shot similar to NAS' one where he gets binned, and now has a broken jaw so out for 4-6. Obviously melbourne can't talk after their last 5 years but far out this is ridiculous....

Compare this to lying down when somebody's just done a crusher tackle on you? Duuuuude this goes back to Alex McKinnon!!!! When you are the victim of a dangerous tackle it is fukking scary!!!! Just like Cam Smith's claim that McKinnon was milking it... do they not get it that there's a clear difference between Cam Smith pretending he's been pushed over while playing the ball in front of the sticks (dramatically throwing himself back 5m when nobody has touched him) and a dude lying down after a blatant crusher tackle? Wasn’t impressed at all by eels. For the amount of possession they had they made heaps of errors against a b grade storm. I think we would have beaten either of them last night easily with our tigers roster. Didn’t see GF material in either team. Eels needed a glut of penalties and possession to win. Give Easts an 8-1 penalty count and we will chalk up a cricket score against any team even with our upcoming roster.

The knock on was the thing that stood out for me. How ironic, same player, same knock on , unfortunately not picked up by our ref taking us into extra time which resulted in Toupo and Cordner getting hurt. Sliding doors moment. Hopefully the extended time off will be to our benefit come finals time and lady karma looks kindly on us and rewards us when it matters most.

Yes.

Being a sports official is a tough job to do well, and practically impossible to please everyone doing so.

But there are some dubious, partial characters in the NRL ranks currently, and some seemingly very partisan application of the 6 again calls. Sets of 18 or 24 tackles for very minor indiscretions by tacklers, and at times downright diving and milking by ball carriers, generally lead to softly earned tries and exhaustion of sides that aren't the refs' favourites on the day.

I'm talking specifically about the Suttons here - very bad eggs. Ashley Klein is a downright c.unt.

For balance, I've always been a fan of Matt Cecchin whom I believe to be admirably fair and impartial. I can't remember the last time we had him - I wonder why? Grant Atkins is fine too.

If any club has a reason to whinge about refs it is ours. The stats over 20 years are there to back that statement up.

But there's really not much you can do about it. Robbo's policy of not blaming the refs (99% of the time) is the way to go however - toughen up and deal with it. 2013 was an amazing victory in face of very partial officiating throughout the year - but we got a call or two in the GF!

You and the three that agree with you have missed my point. But I'll take responsibility for not being totally clear on the point I was trying to make. Silly me for thinking that you and the three that agree with you would be capable of thinking laterally.

I didn't state that the reason the Roosters lost against the drizzle was due to the refs or the penalty count. I merely observed the variance in drizzle discipline from one week to the next.

Responses like yours are the reason I rarely post these days.
