Crichton back - Butcher couple weeks off to get rid of the niggles and beast it again like last yr in the finals.

I won’t speculate about the thought of a full strength team. After this season it seems too good a thought to be true.

Melbourne, Eels and Panthers have all had dream runs with no serious injuries and this is why they are on top of us. I believe the 2 best teams are us and Canberra but both have been savaged by injury this year. IF we get our squad back, even without ACL blokes we should win the comp.

On the bench do we keep Lam due to his ability to cover hooker and the halves or do we drop him and use someone like Aubbo to cover that role ?

Gotta have two middle forwards on the bench no question.

I prefer Liu over Butcher, but i believe Liu is a far superior impact player. Id just want Butcher out there tackling his ass off and shoring up the middle of the field until Liu comes on to tear up. Simple job.

Lam is a must for bench utility. Aubusson is the emergency utility these days, not the bench utility. Lam provides far more destructive attacking potenial against tired forwards.

As for the final spot - 2nd row - my heart is 100% with Aubo and I think he is still well and truly good enough to do the job if fit. SBW is an unknown prospect form wise. Sitili's defence concerns me big time, and you can't afford to have someone that shit in defence during finals.

13: Butcher to start, mainly for his defence.

(18: Lam will be injured, so will keep him out of it.)

(19: Sitili to be temporarily dropped, but will return quickly.)

Has to be Aubo, final season aside.. he's earnt the right to go out on his terms.

That will not be a consideration but I think the fact he covers more positions will be.

unless lam makes a miraculous recovery and kills it at training i'd go for aubo on the bench. if jake goes down then we could probably get by with flanno at dummy half and keary running the show, with teddy also creating stuff.

which leaves 2 spots between lindsay, sitili and butch.

i don't think sbw is guaranteed a place in the 17. he needs to prove himself at training and if given the chance in a game. but he's a class act and you'd figure he will do that.
