When I think back over my shittiest or most boring moments of life they are all in Canberra! So many tedious school excursions too.

That said, anyone headed to the game ?

I just finished listening to Latrell’s recent interview on a podcast and to be honest with you, it was a good interview. He gave our club a big rap and just said he always wanted to play FB. Also gave a huge tribute to aubbo and got emotional when talking about him retiring, apparently they are best mates. I know he isn’t a roosters player anymore but I felt it was good to hear him talk about our club and just clear the air when many on here give him unfair treatment

Will always be the one that got away for me, more so than RTS. Loved his unpredictability, game breaking moments, and how much the kiddies like to mimic him, not many players bring that individuality to the game, he has rock star appeal because he is outspoken and a draw card.

When SBW offloads to JMoz for the grand final winning try, we can thank Latrell for winning us a third successive premiership with the salary cap money he left behind.

He was offered 800k to play centre, he didn’t get away he low balled everyone whilst negotiating back door deals during GF week, why don’t people see how deceitful, immoral and deceptive that is he was offered a golden carrot and decided to **** everyone about including the tigers and titans and Cowboys (not that I care about those clubs) that’s not the Roosters way he doesn’t fit the image this club has been building since Robbo got here do you not understand that? If he wanted to leave and play fullback all he had to do was say so instead of parading about like a circus act and surrounding himself with complete morons like Mundine.

Not saying anything he did was right, just never thought he would leave us, there was obviously more to it than anybody here knows. You don’t let a generational player just leave and then not even request that Souths pay any Compensation that we apparently demanded as part of letting him go early on, and then just let it go.

Because by that point it was becoming toxic and a massive distraction, cast your mind back to origin selection for game 2 when Freddy dropped both Walker and Mitchell, Latrell then started pulling the race card on Freddy seriously? He couldn’t accept the axing and instead of copping it on the chin coming back to the chooks and playing out of his skin to try and prove Freddy wrong he sulked and whinged inevitably pulling the race card out it was clear to all involved not just at the Roosters but at rep level also that Mitchell was in it for himself and if he didn’t get his way this is what he would do.
Good business decision, we are the Roosters we will be fine, we have lost nothing in the centre position.

I agree with the once a generational player sentiments, however, he has nothing but air between his ears.
I know a lot of supporters miss seeing him in our colours pulling the kangaroo ears and the infectious smile, all the kids loved him, and yes he was truly at home here at the Roosters or so we all thought, anyway it’s in the past he’s best memories and greatest achievements will always be here.

if the club had a problem with latrell they wouldn't have offered him a new deal of 800k a year. he knocked back our offer, we spent that money on securing other guys off contract, he said he wanted to stay, we didn't have any money left.

Actually he accepted it then turned up when they were going to sign and said he wanted to explore his options. After that, they wanted him out, understandably.

that would make sense. i was wondering why we took the offer off the table so publicly.

so - despite all the talk re destabilising the team during the finals series etc we still wanted him, he said yes, he said maybe, we got a little pissed off and spent that money on other players, he changed his mind, we didn't have any money left.

He will be a nomad he will pick up his contract money and disappear to Taree oblivion.
Must say theough his performances for 3 years not so much er part of 2019 except for his GF pass to Toups was sublime ...its a bit like Crusher Cleal in the centers was my all time fave up to a point but dont think of him that way since he departed but he was exciting and so was Fatrell .

You guys and girls are saints compared to me. I’d be happy if he re-does the same injury next year

Correct. Not only that but he and his idiotic manager of that time then tried crawling back asking for another chance but by then it was far too late, the level of trust was destroyed by his selfish backflip and poor behaviour

Imagine how much fat he will put on when he won’t be able to run properly or train properly during this coming off season. He may have to start next season in the prop forward position.
