No there isn't. What happened was pretty well publicised at the time.
We got sonny back now, so hopefully a bit of X has returned to us.

Read this this morning in a Webster article in SMH
Originally posted by Andrew WebsterFanning doesn’t just lend gentle support to shark attack victims. He also helps injured footballers like Latrell Mitchell.
When the Souths fullback had his hamstring ripped from the bone, the great Matty Johnscontacted Mitchell’s manager, Matt Rose, and told him to contact Fanning.
In 2004, Fanning had done something similar while surfing in Indonesia. Both were operated on by the same surgeon, Dr David Wood.
“I sent Latrell a message and I've left it in his court,” Fanning said. “I haven’t heard from him. He knows I’m here if he wants to have a chat. David Wood is incredible. Everyone who has had their surgery done by him has come back stronger and faster.”
What has Mick Fanning accomplished anyway?..it’ll be interesting to see

Over the past few years we're supported guys like Latrell, Watson and Fergo. Sure they did a lot of it themselves but they all went on to earn $$$ after playing for us and woulda had ample opportunities if they'd stayed.
I'd like to think that we're a pretty good club for indigenous players. I mean what have Souffs done? Played GI into the ground, forcing him to 'medically retire'. Oh yeah, and they gave 'Trell's dad crack in the changerooms to help him play while injured (plus lose his house, end up sleeping on a beach and then end up broke + living in housos in Taree). Helpfully they described Reynolds as an 'android' after he failed an HIA, to support their decision to give him zero time to rest. I dunno if their record is great with indigenous players TBH! They'll push the point to death, but tell ya what... as soon as you sign you're just a number to them and they'll play you until you're forced into medical retirement.
I'm cautious about linking the two but I mean... is not using a big bodied bloke at FB when he struggles to run more than 100m in a game (compared with Teddy's 300+) a precautionary measure as much as anything? IMO some people are more prone to overuse injuries and I'd say his knees aren't built to run FB metres every week at first grade (as we saw with GI). You're either up to it or you're not... nobody should be playing to exhaustion then sitting on the wing to recover for 1/2 the game.Last edited by ism22; 09-11-2020, 12:44 PM.

It's all so natural for the face of their club to front up to the press pack and lies like he does too.
Bit like all their star players off field dramas... reputation comes first before any actual wellbeing
