people assume that every assistant coach wants a top job. nothing wrong with staying in a job where you're well enough paid and you're happy.

people might think less of fitzy if he doesn't test himself but i wouldn't. if he wants to have a top job then he'll get one but i hope he doesn't chase a top job cos that's what people think he should do.

Exactly right. Not everyone is ultra ambitious, or desperate for that matter. And if he's cruising around Austinmer in his wetty maybe he's carved out the perfect lifestyle for himself. Whatever way we slice it, my respect for him goes up every time he makes these decisions whether it is ambition or patience.
