I understand what your saying, however, if we have our full squad we have the means to beat them I’d rather face them first week then say in a Prelim up in Queensland, all roads to the premiership goes through us and we have ended them two years running no question we can do it again.

I think if there was an agenda there, it would of been the fairytale everyone wants, that is the warriors win and are only two points from the 8 in a season where they kept the comp alive, borrowed players, sacked a coach and the interim coach gets them to the finals.

The finals system needs an overhaul. I'd go back to a final 6. The current system rewards mediocrity too much. The first round is fairly meaningless anyway, ending up with a final 6, and you have a situation where teams at 5th and 6th play at home whilst teams above them in 3rd and 4th play harder games away.

The top 8 is a money spinner & will remain until someone at the NRL has enough balls to drop the number of teams to 12 & then you will have a top 5.
