The finals system needs an overhaul. I'd go back to a final 6. The current system rewards mediocrity too much. The first round is fairly meaningless anyway, ending up with a final 6, and you have a situation where teams at 5th and 6th play at home whilst teams above them in 3rd and 4th play harder games away.

I also like 6 teams. Four genuine contenders and two roughies. If you come 7th or 8th you are average to mediocre and do not deserve to play finals. Its not like the regular season isnt already long enough.

The top 8 is a money spinner & will remain until someone at the NRL has enough balls to drop the number of teams to 12 & then you will have a top 5.

4 Queensland teams
Canberra
Newcastle
Illawarra
Melbourne

4 Queensland teams would be good business. Pretty funny that in 2020 all 3 of the Queensland teams have been dogshit. Must have hit the NRL's bottom line I reckon.

I would also like to express my appreciation towards the New Zealand Bros. They have really done it tough without their families. Apparently RTS has two kids under 3 so he has really been doing it tough. The guys did themselves proud .
