  • SBW: The Return Week

Hello everyone, as word inevitably comes through that Sonny William Williams, better known as Sonny "Bill" Williams, will be taking up a place in the Sydney Roosters Football Club 17 man team, I thought it would be remiss of the chookpen not to have a thread dedicated to the great man. I'll kick things off by asking the question: does anyone know what ended up of the"Sydney Bill Williams" banner we had in 2013 and 14? It would be sick if we could whip it out in Canberra and for the rest of the year. The picture is the 2nd one in this glorious gallery of pictures taken on the 6th of October 2013 https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...4036381?page=1
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results

He comes into the side in what probably is the make or break game for a top 4 finish. It’s going to be really interesting to see how he is used by Robbo and where he is at form wise as we get closer to the finals

Hoping to see some of his magical late offloads with our attack becoming a little more adlib. Either way his presence on the field will make opposition teams second guess more.

tricky thing for robbo to manage, particularly if aubo and angus are fit. if sbw does play you'd figure isaac will go to prop and he'll play in the middle coming on around the 30 min mark. can't expect too much from him at this stage but would be good if he gives a glimpse of what he's capable of.

I thought Maubs isn’t due back till the semis, and Crighton till the week after Canberra.

I reckon his protégé Sitilli Bill Williams will be envious

Yes definitely. He will have a bench poison, pending injuries. Wonder if we’ll see Robbocarrying Lussick also ??

Won’t the poison make him sick?

So exciting to see him back not not so easy to see what role he fills and who misses out. It is definitely a boost for the squad at the right time. Sitili was amazing against the Broncos so I guess TRobbo has a tough choice to make.

                        1. Teddy
                        2. Toops
                        3. JOrris
                        4. Manu
                        5. BOrris
                        6. Keary
                        7. Flanno
                        8. TKO
                        9. Friend
                        10. JWH
                        11. Boyd
                        12. Sitili
                        13. Angus

                        14. Aubs
                        15. Liu
                        16. Lindsay
                        17. SBW

                        18. Butch
                        19. Silly Farmer
                        20. Lam
                        21. Lussick

*Aubs can cover an backline position/ 2nd Row and Lock
*Liu can cover lock or front row rotation
*Sonny can be an impact player at the 25min mark when fatigue kicks in.

Angus at lock cause he is great defensively and also has good hand, ball playing ability and pace to create over laps

they beat us at our home, no reason why we can't do the same, im very confident.

Croker and Rapana Grubana ,.. against Moz 1 Moz 2 Toops and Joey who must be ready for a big one, yeah good luck.

                            Hopefully SBW is Flanagans bodyguard

He is a wide running backrower. Lock is a pretty different prospect.
