Still waiting for his apology after his relentless attacks on rugby league for coming back when they did after the Covid break (but was fine with rugby yawnion coming back a couple of weeks later, of course)!

Never fails to remind everyone he was right about ANZ Stadium being perfectly fine as it is (even tho it isn't!).

Never fails to remind us all that rugby union is played in more countries than rugby league, though the only reason is it's a hangover from colonialism so it's all they know. Besides, I haven't seen the Wallabies lining up against the likes of Thailand, Kenya, Botswana or the Cook Islands recently. (And who cares! It's been unwatchable since 1994 when they brought in the 'use-it-or-lose-it' rule...which although sounds positive...isn't in a big way!)

Never ONCE have any of my comments in response to his articles been printed. Perhaps he can't stand having his prejudices proved wrong.

He uses the old love/hate strategy and it appears to be working a treat judging by the furious tone of some posters. I have read plenty of his stuff that is complementary to League and plenty that is disparaging to Rugby. True he is a Shore alumnus which is a rich wanker family mill stone normally but he has seen the light and many of us enjoy his excoriation of the bumble footed Libs and the billions of wasted money (your money).
Of course the hacks at the Tele work him over because he's not one of the Libs' cheer squad and occasionally dumps on that old cancer tumour, Rupert. Truth is he has written a swag of very popular Australiana books which would drive the Tele hacks to despair since, between the lot of them, not one has read a book. Aw...except for the one that was read to them in Year 10.

Gotta love a working class Lib. Tradie are we Lazza? Left school in Year 10 or before that even? Better that hole in the ground on Moore Park Rd, the billion wasted because proper due diligence wasn't applied to the tramway route, the other billion wasted on the Powerhouse museum fiasco and to top it off (if that's even possible) the iCare Workers' Comp rip off. You can read about these Lib (best money managers) cluster fcuks Laz but not in the Tele.

It’s a footy forum. Go talk your politics elsewhere. Isn’t there a Souths forum for you to hang out on. Oh that’s right, all their animal supporters are illiterate.

Good lord. You are making a few assumptions there. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way back to Redfern.

What's Johns' opinion worth? Another one who left school in Year 10 with the likelihood that he, too, has never read a book plus I think that the red bandanna took him to task over drugs and role modelling. That's what I like about the Bandanna, he's unafraid of consequences unlike the News hacks whose very livelihood depends on forming various cheer squads.
I don't know how many marriages Johns has been through but that record alone signals big time instability and his opinions, other than about about Banana Kicks, pretty much worthless.

Why do you think everyone left school in Year 10? Whats that all about? Rugby League is a working class game. Do you hate the working class?

From what I have read there seems to be a lot of professionals and generally smart people here on the Chookpen. I think many here are quite well educated.

It means that those blokes at the Tele and elsewhere could not know very much, certainly not enough to be critical or in any way knowledgeable in their opinions. News used to get 'em fresh from Year 10 though nowadays more likely with your basic Band 3 or 4 from the HSC. They train 'em up from Copy Boy/Girl after which as "journalists" they parrot what arrives from "news sources" in Britain and the US. But most of their time is devoted to piling on to progressive thinking (the Bandanna) and the propagation of Rupert's war mongering like this bullshit anti China line that we are constantly being fed. WMDs was a good example of journalists not being capable/willing to do their job which in a democracy is to inform objectively and independently..

It sends him into a rage whenever something positive Rugby League - wise gets air time. And he furiously jerks off whenever something negative Rugby League - wise get's air time.
Liz Ellis said all I need to say in response to his rant.

                                > But he was firmly put in his place by former Australian netball captain Liz Ellis. “It’s bad enough having to read your columns, let alone you read them to us,” Ellis said.

There's a reason why I have full hectic manlove for SBW's rig and not the pirate bandanna of some north shore, apple chapel, durry muncher who lucked his way into a single game for the 'Australian' team (where he was sent off within seconds coz he couldn't handle p!ss weak sledging) when yawnion was purely amateur and private school kids paid their way into our national team.

Meh... haters gonna hate. I prefer to be 'mirin' the fine specimen that is SBW rather than hatin' on him. Not his fault he was born with better coordination + physical attributes than most of us. Also, my wife watches more footy with me when he's around, so it can only be a good thing.
