Even though the game was pretty much over by the time he came on I was so deeply impressed with Sonny against the Knights. First there was the increased fitness. He was gassed after his first stint against the Raiders even though he was solid. Seeing him settle into the game for a longer period was impressive and his workrate was equally impressive. But how about the ball playing, the offloads and his general positioning and ability to link with other players.

I honestly had no idea what SBW could bring to the team being 35 and having left the NRL at the end of 2014. There had been plenty of talk about his dodgy knee and even the greatest athletes lose something eventually. But there he is, aged 35 and just as exciting as he was when debuted as a youngster. SBW is the greatest.

He will definitely add to the team and have defenses in two minds whenever he has ball in hand, which will give his support a bit more room to move. An absolute positive having him back.

i supported him joining us but wasn't expecting too much but he's looking unreal. hasn't missed a tackle yet, some of his passes were just sublime, strong carries with the ability to offload, hasn't lost any speed.

Mate he's doing great. I thought his involvement was awesome at the weekend.

Glad he'll be with us in the finals.

When we first signed him I had my doubts whether he could offer anything on the field.

            I have no doubts anymore.

Never had any doubts about him still bringing it. It’s well known how well he looks after himself and he’s surely taken a lot less wear and tear playing in the backs in rugby for the past few years than would be the case if he’d played NRL all that time.

He's made us stronger by returning and also has boosted the NRL's finances with a cool $32M over his return. Superstar

It surprises me anybody had/has doubts. Everyone knows Sonny is the ultimate professional and sets himself high standards. His legacy is at stake. And why would you doubt Trent Robinson who obviously felt Sonny had something to offer?

A lot on here like to say “Trust in Trent.” I suggest some of you need to put this saying into practice.

Totally I think Manu benefitted from this.

SBW was incredible. He could well be the x-factor that decides the title come finals time. He'll have the Storm twitching for sure.

I have quite simply never in my time seen a more complete football player. As a backrower, he is pure perfection. A cheat code computer game creation.

Love him to death as a player and for what he's contributed to our club. What an unexpected treat to see him in the RWB again.

Nobody could've predicted how he would play considering his cameo at Toronto and how little he's played but I've been impressed. Obivously not 2013 or Prime SBW but for 35, he's done an good job off the bench. He's clearly had an influence over the boys and its been great to see him contributing on both ends! Here's to continued success for the rest of the season!
