Morris is a crybaby and should learn the rules
Its doesn't need to be a head injury for the ref to decide themselves and yes they should heed the advise of the trainer.
In my opinion their trainer did the right thing, he assessed the injury quickly and by that time the play had moved well on.

In fact I think if the trainer calls a stop to the game when its unnecessary they will be fined

    • John Morris is lucky to be coaching first grade. In a year or so he will be another failed coach scratching around for an assistant coach role - and he won’t get one. Dugan has a bad attitude and would rather lie down than get back in the line.

WTF is he anyway? Just some totes random who happens to be a 1st grade coach.

I dead set reckon I could coach some random team for a season, not come last and then bank the $$$.

        • I thought Liu and Crichton were massive today. Not a bad player as usual. Everyone pitched in.

Now he's using the rest of the conference to whinge about how 'unfair' it was because they were 'coming back into the game'. Mate, I saw a different game. You weren't smashing us at that point and play doesn't stop just because a guy has gone down in back play during a set. You can't just drop down and expect the ball runner to stop running...

Did he coach the tactic of going down when you fark up or something?
If the game has to stop every time Dugan gets injured, then this game would still be on at 11:30pm. The fact that Dugan continued playing says that stopping the game would have been unjust because then we wouldn’t have been able to score. John Morris wants to talk about ‘the welfare of the player’ but talking about Keary taking advantage the space left by Dugan to score a try shows that he was more concerned about the welfare of the scoreboard. A response from a person that has little ability to be a good coach.

Bingo. If he were really interested in player welfare he woulda hooked Duges rather than letting him play on.

Yeah - exactly what we did for Cords last week + this week despite him being 100% able to play.

Drunken rant but TBH when I was doing competitive sprinting, guys like Duges p!ssed me off and I didn't want 'em in my squad. There were always a bunch of peeps carrying 'injuries' who wouldn't take the necessary time off to get better, so a training session for them involved all sorts of pauses and whinges about 'injuries'. My approach was always 'hey I'm not injured and I need to train... if your body can't handle it then instead of holding me up, GET BETTER!!!' The only injury I've ever had was from a hematoma to my right quad (surely happens all the time in NRL? Got it from a whack during my 3rd game of footy for the day... played 14's, 15's and 1sts). I couldn't move my leg for about 3 months (didn't force it either coz the physio told me not to). On the doctor + physio's orders I took 12 months off, came back really slowly and despite promises it would 'never be as flexible as the left one' I made bloody well sure it would be by putting in extra hours with stretching...etc. 12 Months probably sounds extreme for your average NRL 'medico' [aka quack] but I've never had problems with it since. IMO more pros need to do that rather than trying to be the tough guy by going out while busted.

                  • Who is doing the counting of the set restarts?
It was definitely 10,11 or 12 to the sharks, and 1 to the roosters - saw it being repeatedly lit up on the big screen.at the game.
How do you get 6 to 1 as the official count?
Cummins was in his finest form.
Despite having little possession , the defence held up well - Sitili awesome in D, Gus had a great game again, Ice good too.
Take a bow, Mr Aubisson.. Two tries in a milestone match.

                    • I was watching Sitilli in the change rooms after the game and he looked pissed off. Reminded me of JAubs last game when he knew he was not going to be part of the finals campaign.
How the f@ck do we fit all our players into 17 when finals come and all are fit.

Haven’t watched a replay yet but my observation at the game felt like Sitili let himself down a bit with some poor handling and D again. If he was pushed off prob more with himself I think.

That’s not very nice. He has a very sensitive vagina and the hole gets punctured occasionally.
