I don't see how anyone could say we are missing anyone until we play a couple of games and see how we're faring.

It makes me smile at how Ryles has become such a Roosters fave, as I remember a lot of supporters blowing up deluxe when he was signed. Maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder.

Have some faith in the young bulls.
We "went just fine in 2010" because we got a new coach and a superstar 5/8...

The way I see it had he stayed here it would have stifled the development of one of our younger players who would miss out an a 1st garde spot Maybe even meaning we lose them to another club. Rather miss Ryles for one year than miss JWH Tasi Guerra Cordner Takairangi forever

I was one that heralded his signing, and also believe he was very good for us, and hoped he would play out his career in the red white and blue...I was disappointed to hear he was moving on...I think his experience could have been very useful for us this year...

In saying that, he is another year older and he certainly takes quite a few weeks to get into the groove, due to age and fitness..

I wish him all the best, even at the storm...

Still one of my finest rugby league memories is the time Ryles got up and played the ball the wrong way for St.George against us one day..

He still had some clangers in there, I really don't think he'll be missed as much as people think - the one exception is if Kennedy misses a lot of matches.

We'll miss Rylesy's go forward and experience but I certainly won't miss his customary penalties and dropped balls. I honestly thought he would retire a Rooster. I wish him well at the Storm (even though I hate them), unlike Carney and Myles who I am looking forward to getting smashed.

I predict that apart from Mason that Nate Myles will become the most hated former Rooster. I hope he gets smashed.

On the other hand watching Carney will always be somewhat bittersweet for me.

Carney has certainly been keeping up his end of the deal.

But according to Rothfield and co he has been "training the house down" and "is looking for a fresh start...".

Has nothing to do with the fact that he is a Shark of course.

Yes I agree with you there. The bogan ruined our Rooster dreams. So much talent that should have been seen in a RW&B jumper but....well lets not go there again as it's been done to death.

Should've let Symonds go instead,we now have too many back rowers and not enough front rowers.

Anzac Day ...This Saints supporter had just finished telling us how much of a superstar he was, and just as he finished his sentence Ryles played it backwards ....Good days..lol

Just watched a replay of last year against Souths - his leadership by example, offloads, hit-ups...were excellent and pretty much for the whole season too.

Was just about the form prop in the comp last year - Im not confident we can cover him this year. And what a tragedy he signed with the disgrace that is Melbourne..grrr.
Agree Ryles still has plenty to offer, but we need to keep our next generation. Our forwards will be among the best in 2012, even better in 2013..

Time will tell. If Kennedy goes down or is still not fit it may turn out to be a very poor decision. If Kennedy stays fit and kills it it will be a case of "Jason who"?
