    Second.

Losing to Cows in suspicious circumstances in the last game of 2009 is mine.

    • Our whole right side which let just about every point and linebreak in will be completely different next week.
We go from Sitili, Aubusson (who was 99% responsible in each case) and Ikuvalu, to Crichton, Manu and Morris.
Very very different side so you shouldn't be worried

true, but i dont see the point in them stemming the tide for nothing when we know whats coming in the finals. Look, 60 pts isnt good, and i do hope it dosent effect them for next week but under the 6 again rule and the counts i just put up, 60 IS the new 30

        • As good as Souths looked, our soft, indecisive defence made them look like champions. The attitude was off. Coach has to take the knocks as well as the praise.

One thing is for sure... we've absolutely no idea what to expect so finals week 1 will be a thrill to say the least.
Whoever we meet next week, you will see a different Roosters side, and by that I don’t mean different players. We discussed before that our motivation tonight would be different to souffs. We were probably trying not to get any suspensions or injuries. Unfortunately Friends injury was accidental but we will be fine with Freddy at hooker.

When you go into a game with next week in mind and the shits hits the fan, it’s not easy to stop the rot. Be it Panthers or the Storm next week, we will see the true Roosters side.

The other people who wouldn’t be happy we lost tonight will be the Panthers and they will be hoping that Parra lose tomorrow because they know that we won’t be the same side next week.

Thanks BC. You’re the voice of reason.

              • They were disallowed two obviously fair tries too.

                • So uncharacteristic of the roosters. I suppose that is what we look like with the will to win stripped away. The ref did play a very prominent role in tonight no doubt about it.. Penalties and 6 agains were hugely in their favour. If the penalty count is 26-6 against over 2 weeks and same with 6 agains then game management is a possibility. We were terrible sure but look at tye bias from the ref as well as it did play a large role. It’s hard to believe we can go on from here. But I’m proud over a decade we’ve been the best.

Not blaming the refs but a few stats...
                        - Souffs got 6 tackle resets, we got 1 (which was in the last 30 seconds of the first half so actually shoulda been a penalty or a send-off IMO as they kept doing it intentionally when they knew the clock was on their side... unless the ref has the spine to do a send-off, you have every incentive to just lie on your opposition in the last 30).
                        - Souffs won the penalty count 6-1.
                        - We took a few days off this week (Robbo takes reaponsibility for not prepping us properly - dare I say we probably mucked about and had a few beers to relieve a bit of tension, which won't be the case next week).

Overall is was a disgraceful effort. I'm gonna put it all down to the fact:
                        1. We're bloody tired after 5 wins in a row (including against the Faders and Sharks in order to secure a top-4 finish... to our credit we'd already done the work)
                        2. Souffs showed up like it was their GF. They put every last eeek of an effort into that win and will be celebrating all week as if they've just won a GF. Celebrate all you like... Souffs are a team who shoulda consistently done better all season and 1 win doesn't make up for that!
                        3. We leaked points on our edges where we rested players. Also, Teddy seemed REALLY slow!!! I wouldn't be surprised if Teddy was basically told 'both edges will be weaker tonight with a quality left winger and a quality right centre out... DON'T pick up all the scraps and injure yourself!!! MAKE THE OTHER BOYS SHAKE A LEG!!!'
                        4. We were absolutely killing them until Jake got injured. Lam hasn't played for weeks and he's a half! Not blaming Lam but I suspect this ruined our plan of dazzling them with Lam's speed towards 1/2 time. Instead of doing this we were reduced to a 3-man interchange for 80 minutes and had to use Lam as a tackle bag hooker.
                        5. This will provide a good incentive to train the house down this week and FOCUS!!! People were saying they thought the finals team had already been decided based on this week's team. NOT ANYMORE!!!! Positions will be up for grabs and we'll be looking to make amends against the Riff next week!!!

                        • Refs had nothing to do with it we got destroyed by Cody and his running game. They smashed us all over the park and we were tentative and soft which is very unusual under robbo's tutelage.
We have got a week to turn it around and show some fortitude in defence.

                            you can’t sugarcoat a 50 point thumping.

                              • Sutton, 6 agains for nothing much, Souths players too big, too strong, too fast.
They ran thru our left side defence 5 on 3 like we weren't even there.
Teddy not back coming forward to field kicks, as usual.
Kyle, trying to play razzle dazzle football, lost the ball trying an impossible offload.
He is not, and cannot be expected to be, Cronk.
One ref, set restarts at will, no explanation,
no accountability, anytime anywhere..... the NRL has what it wanted.
