  • Who is our future 7

I am not a fan of flanno. I was cautiously optimistic of him coming across but gee, can someone tell me what he offers in attack? Our attack stems from Kezza and if he is having a down night then we switch to Tedesco. Before anyone says this is a carry on from last night I have been thinking this the whole season, last night was just the cherry on top for me.

Its his first full season of NRL so he's a work in progress still - big wraps on Walker although unknown at NRL level - there was big wraps on O'Sullivan too but that hasn't materialised as yet. Chooks have had a few In lower grades with similar wraps who ended up leaving the club i.e Joe Williams/ Jamie Soward and of course O'Sullivan

i think flanno goes alright. he's only played a couple of dozen games of fg so it's early days.
with kez and teddy in our team he doesn't have to do more than he's doing atm.

Cronk would have had a more hands on involvement with him but due due to Covid not possible - bit hard to train/mentor someone on half back play over the internet need to be there in person. Needs to put on a bit of bulk though as like Keary is very slight in frame and a target for other teams attack as Keary is.

                  I don't mind him.
We have lost 3 games since the comp resumed with him playing. Storm, Raiders and Souths. We didn't lose those games because of his inabilities. Not sure whether we lose more without him because of his goal kicking.
Not sure what you expected from his first full year of first grade. I think he has played the role he was brought here for.
if Walker plays next year he better play as good as Cronk or some will be asking who's next on the list.

Sam Walker is the plan I'd say. Lam will probably be around to play a utility role. I doubt if Flanagan would have come back at all without Lam's injury this year. But he has done some good things and can kick goals. I just see him reuniting with his Dad soon similar to the Clearys.

Surely Mitchell Paul’s time is now. Since his misdemeanours, he has served his penance in the bush league. From all reports he’s been playing the house down.
                      ..it’ll be interesting to see

I really don't get all the Lam love, He isn't his father by a long shot also it's not as if he's done any better the Flanno and he also can't kick goals...

I heard they are bringing Pearcey back to mentor Mitchell Paul so I think they are the future. There is also this other kid who isnt born yet but he is also the future.

The only reason Mitchell Paul hasn't joined the club yet is because he is Captain-Coaching several clubs at once across PNG and the Solomon Islands archipelago.

It'll be a wonderful day when he does arrive. Don't know about Pearce's involvement - that's news to me - but I heard someone who is close to Robbo saying that Paul is unlikely to need any technical or personal coaching from the club's assistants. That's how good they think he is.

We should throw the cheque book at Shaun Johnson again.
