It'll be a wonderful day when he does arrive. Don't know about Pearce's involvement - that's news to me - but I heard someone who is close to Robbo saying that Paul is unlikely to need any technical or personal coaching from the club's assistants. That's how good they think he is.

For the newbies on here, Mitchell Paul is from PNG and famously posted onto the Roosters fans facebook group a few years ago he was ready to step up and play half at the Roosters if needed.........
He is a Chookpen cult hero and like Manu for Hooker, Paul is a must for number 7.
Yesterday, I saw some pics of him on facebook training with his mates in the highlands, he looks ready for the NRL now........Last edited by 4 the all in brawl; 09-27-2020, 12:37 AM.Originally posted by Bondi Boy

I agree that Sam Walker, at this stage, appears to be our long term answer. I also think Lam will go in time, as will Flanno but, as usual, the club will manage this 'transition' carefully.MRR or Rabid
Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

How far is our future? How far is a piece of string? For now our 7 is Kyle. Robbo is not going to give up on him on last Fridays debacle, and when Robbo left him out, we and the media were baffled why he was left out so it wasn't like we all saw him playing bad. Robbo left him out because he could afford bringing Lam at a time when it wasn't crucial and in those weeks off, Flanno improve a shit load. Look at the try Talekai scored passed him in the Cronulla game and then look at how he dealt with Talakai again a few minutes later when Talekai thought he would waltz past Flanno. The kid takes his medicine and deals with anything Robbo throws at him, and when he scored that goal against the Storm in the dying minutes, who wasn't praising him?
Sam Walker may be a future half but until he is able to show something on the field at a senior level, he will have to sit it out. Flanno will keep improving IMO!Last edited by ROC181; 09-28-2020, 09:46 AM.
