  • Speaking of Threepeats

Today, I was thinking about the 2014 and 15 seasons, and pondered what if?

What if the Roosters don't get screwed by the Refs against Souffs in the 2nd half? We go on to beat the Bulldogs and go back to back 6 years before the fact.

What if 2015 wasn't injury filled at the back end with no JWH and Pearce and we go in to the game against Brisbane full strength? We could've provided a better showing and go on to disrupt the all QLD final and potentially beat the Cowboys for the threepeat that the boys are chasing right now.

With all the talk of the threepeat, it just made me wonder what if this scenario occurred. By that logic, Tedesco, Cronk and Keary might never had come over, and it would be RTS who would actually be considered the best in the world and Pearce would be still be here as the Favored Son with no badge kissing.

As a young fan who's worst season they've personally witnessed seen was 2016 and didn't grow up during the transit era and the like makes me feel fortunate to see the side that we've seen for the past few years. Without the seasons of 2015 and 2016 we probably would've never witnessed the key signings that have been the catalyst for our success over the past few years!

As we look to the start of the finals season, We look to put everything from last Friday behind us and look to capturing the threepeat! Trust in Trent and the boys to pull it home and continue this dynasty for many futures ahead! Up the Chooks!

Your a deeper thinker for someone who is 17.
2015 2016 you would have been 12 & 13. I dont know any 12 or 13 YO that would have the knowledge of football that you have & to read your post now does not sound like a 17 YO.
But anyway your a Chook supporter & thats the main thing

We were robbed in 2003 when Cayless was called out to let Priddis score. Robbed again in 2004 when Mini's try was disallowed and Elmasri's slow motion double movement was allowed. Cost me a fortune both years as i had $5000.00 on the Roosters both times to win the GF.

Got them around the wrong way, Bulldogs was 2004 and Penrith was 2003. Mini's was clearly no try, he ran behind his own player but El Masri's should have been sent upstairs and was definitely a double movememnt. I can remember them interviewing Greg Hartley (noted Bulldogs fan) the week after and he said the same thing. He couldn't believe the El Masri try wasn't referred and said it was a clear double movement
