His first stint in both finals were poor, his second stints in both finals were quality.....it was probably asking for Robbo to hold him back on the bench tonight tbh.

Dumb thread. JWH has been our best prop of the last decade. Arguably the best prop since Artie. Needs to stop the dumb penalties (which he probably wont) but his injury the season has contributed to a below par performance. He will heal during the off season and come back stronger

Who’s to say he hasn’t been carrying an injury in the back end of this season.

          Don’t be so fickle.
Totally agree, he could be injured, and he has had the odd off year in the past and come back strong (after his ACL he took a while but he got their and was super for 2018 and 19. I ask who do we replace him with? Aiden Tolman! ridiculous call

think its cause he moves like hes 38. his lateral movement is a bit of a concern.

he was good in the last 20 mins when all he had to do was charge it foward

I would say the same thing if he was playing for Souths because I would want to promote any information to derail them.

100% he is carrying injury. JWH is another Webke imo. I can see him performing very well for at least another couple years as long as that sternum isn't giving him trouble. That is a potential career ender, so let's hope it's been managed well and is under control.

I really hope it’s only MCL for TKO.

I agree with some sediment that he has been our best prop for the last decade. But I’m looking towards the next seasons.

If JWH had lead from the front, won the rucks and then gave away 2 selfish penalties in a knock out prelim final, I would had been more understanding .. but he did neither ( and then gave away the penalties )

I will be the first to commend him when he retires.

Regardless, we have re-signed him. So my thread is only an opinion from a guy who went to the game.

Is Max Bailey on the books for next year- plays lock and with a bit more bulk could play prop- with SST to miss a fair chunk of the season next year - Paosa/Sifita would come into calculation also with Radley playing lock Liu is a prop option

I find it funny how the old blokes are the first ones blamed for a bad performance. Jared and Codner led the run meters and post-contact meters outside the backs.

i love his toughness and agression... we need that up front. but thats 2 fkn weeks in a row now hes cost us penalties that resulted in them scoring. we lost both games by under a converted try.

                            **** me.

JWH hasn’t changed the way he has played and nor should he always gave away penalties what people seem to forget is we were able to defend those penalties and mistakes we made with our great defence, however the loss of Radley (which has proven to be irreplaceable) and the introduction of the 6 again rule has broken the game open, forwards tire resulting in exhaustion which leads to poor decision making and a mountain of injuries.

Robbo needs to evolve how we play the game in 2021 Radley Verrils back young Walker Smith plenty to look forward to, another middle would be great a hard head with plenty of aggression I like young DSF, on top of that we just had no luck at all this season.

Im gutted but somewhat relieved, we won’t be head hunted next season, plenty to work on defence will be the key again none of this COVID rubbish, time for a well earned rest and reset and attack the premiership next season.

                              Go EASTS!

I am not going to say cut him loose But he definately lost some of his aura after that running battle with Heatherington in the Warriors match
