JWH has seemingly been playing busted this year. The off season should do him the world of good. We'll see how he is early next year, if he's well off the pace then benching him could be considered.

Yes JWH has been playing busted but I also believe that the 6 again rule has taken a lot of our forwards with the extra tackling. For example the last 4 weeks of JWH’s season his tackling average has been 43 compared to the last 4 weeks of last seasons his average was only 30.

At last a voice of reason. And with some facts included. Well done CM. Be careful. That stuff doesn't go well here. We have been short a quality bench PROP for the last 3 years. Lindsay is developing well, especially this season, and will be a force next year, and Liu has been great for us but JWH and SST have been busted for a long time and we haven't had anyone to replace them. Faarma shows promise, but still a work in progress. Baker is still an unknown quantity. Yes the game has changed and the speed of the ruck has put more pressure on the big guys, but we will adjust to the change, the calls for JWH to be moved on are ridiculous.

Never thought I would be in favour of this but I agree, the bloke is a talented prop but his brain explosions and dumb arse penalties late in the tackle count are proving extremely costly, no matter how lame or soft the hits are he has a target on his head, we all know we won’t let him go unless he wants to go, maybe less time on the field is what’s needed, he cost us big time last Friday night

His tackles are up as teams also know there is a big chance of a high shot or slowing down the play the ball penalty, it comes with the reputation

Did you actually think about this before pressing POST REPLY. So people run at JWH on purpose, and that makes his tackle count high. This has got to be one of the most stupid things i have ever read, even on HERE. Anyway he has just signed for another THREE YEARS.... so enjoy it. calling for the retirement of Cordner and JWH I can honestly say “ it ain’t happening “. They’ve been the cornerstone of our pack for the last 6-7 years and still have 2-3 good years in them.
Cordner was just too hurt this year and will come better next year. JWH didn’t seem to be running freely and whether it’s an injury or the effects of living in a bubble , hopefully next year we will see his best form come back. I would not swap him at the moment for anyone in the comp.
I hope you are right mate, Cords is an absolute legend. We all love him.

But based on what we saw after his stint on the sidelines he looks to be a shadow of his former self.

Playing SOO is not what he needs right now. He needs a good spell.

absolutely some players are targeted to wear them out, some because they cannot tackle, some because they make bad reads, some because they are offside and others like JWH because you are a huge chance of a cheap penalty in every tackle

No i just think its because we have to defend extra sets... Its not only JWH you would also find SST last 4 game average this season he was making 35 per game compared to just 19 last season for the last 4 games. It's because they are positioned to make a lot of tackles its their duty. Its the exact same reason for nug who made 61 tackles last friday but then some on here say hes out of it, the guy is 31 and has completed 61 tackles he's got no juice left he's fatigued. These new rules have made the fatigue factor so much larger then previous years and by the end of a brutal season we just couldnt keep up. And of course the lazy errors and the penalties by JWH dont help at all.

Yeah but I think the risk might outweigh the reward when it comes to singling out JWH to run at. His numbers are up because of the sped up game. JWH was giving away penalties last year too.
