as much as we have shown our dislike for Luai over the past few weeks thanks to his antics, it’s obvious he makes Cleary look a LOT better than he really is.

That was really disappointing as a Blues fan. The saving grace was seeing Collins do well, he’s grown a lot in the last 12 months.

Gutho had a good year. Good year at FB but he ain’t no Teddy so guess what. He shouldn’t play out of position and Teddy owns the FB spot. Shyt, I wouldn’t even want to see Teddy play center. Just about the only bloke capable of playing both FB and center at this level is Turbo and he’s unavailable so leave it to the specialists in their positions.

Yeah Collins and Friend... never seen Friend play that well before!!! Or maybe I'm just too critical when he's playing for us rather than carving us up?

I swear he doesn't run the ball as much for Easts. Made some great metres!

im not arguing that. Just reckon if he’s the best in the comp according to the dally m, surely he should start there? I too believe Luke is the better 5/8 so either the Dally Ms are wrong or the selections are wrong. In all honesty, I would like to see what Jack could have done with more ball in his hands but Luke did look good with his limited opportunities.

I thought Jack ran the ball well once or twice but his defence was atrocious except for one good hit.

I thought all roosters played great (most of the time) - friend, Collins, Gus all played with a lot of energy. Keary, not his best but some nice touches in a team that wasn’t going forward.

Toops had some great runs except for his brain snap - this game sums him up, great runs but he has these absolute shocking rush of blood when it’s not on in his own half - he also seems to have recently gone missing in recent times when he should be there on the wing and is a bit more sus under the high ball for some reason?

Cordners head knocks a worry but I thought he was one of the best forwards for the blues when they were being dominated. Strong runs that always took 3 to get him down and quick play the balls - great leadership

they were poor because they are not centers, wightons strength is his running game with the ball, he was redundant out there, NSW halves played an awful game, only looked threatening when walker chimes into the backline.

lomax should have been in the centers for king gutho.

I’m a blues fan but I said last week that I was happy for all the Roosters Origin players but was most excited about seeing what Lindsay would bring. He’s got that old Origin war dog look about him. Well suited to release some mongrel in that arena.

As for mongrel, am I the only who thought it was lacking? Where’s the push and shove, the verbals and the hate? I know you don’t need it for a good game of footy but that’s what’s Origin all about. What is it without it... just another game of footy?
