Whats the story with Toups didnt he pledge his allegiance to Tonga?
Can he play SOO?

Tonga is second tier and he hasn't played for another 1st tier national - Tamo plays for Tonga as well but is not eligible for SOO as he played for NZ - A First tier nation.

Any player that has played for any 1st tier nation other than Australia is not eligible to play SOO - Players that play for a second tier nation can also play for a 1st tier nation if they meet the criteria - Tamo plays for Tonga but could also play for NZ same for SST.

That was the argument Gould/Fittler/Johns has that players should be eligible to play SOO even if they have represented different countries- goes back to SBW as Gould was wanting him to be able to play SOO for NSW Saying he played all his rep footy as a junior for NSW but because he played for NZ he wasn't eligible and that shouldn't be the case.

I suppose it goes down to if SOO is deemed as a trial for Australia Roos selection later on- some say no some say yes

They should have an Indigenous national Anthem as after all it was and always will be Aboriginal land - Flag is next the colonial times are behind us time to move on - the black/yellow and red flag is the one and a new Anthem too or re-write the current one. Changing names of sites and towns also needs to be considered - Ayers Rock is now Uluru -Fraser Island name should have been changed long ago - it is a disgrace that it is still called this

I basically agree with you but banning the national anthem completely is madness. I guess it is to avoid the issue of players taking a knee. People were outraged towards the indigenous players last year. This year people are going to lose their shit over this.

Sorry but even with the racial diversity in my family , Indigenous , German , Asian and English this is over the top , Anthem for sure , flag if its suited to the whole country not just Indigenous but towns and names for Christ sake move on and get over it.
