[QUOTE=Johnny Brass;n853822]
The 6 again rules has had a massive influence on the game and brought about the biggest change since the 10 metre rule in my opinion.
The ones conceded late in the set which leads to a 9,10 or 11 tackle set gasses teams and drains them. There is no chance for the defensive team to reset and catch their breath.
It's the reason why we are seeing huge momentum shifts and good attacking sides can put on 3 tries in 10 minutes with running halves carving up the opposition.[a/QUOTE]
There is a 10 m rule ? Or is this going the way of the scrums ffs

This from zero tackle -
2. The overreaction by Roosters fans after falling short of yet another Prelim is absolutely unbelievable. Calls to end Kyle Flanagan’s Roosters career show how impatient this fan base truly are. Anyone expecting him to be Cooper Cronk in his debut Finals Series need to take a good look at themselves. The kid far outplayed any expectations.
not saying they always get it right but it's good to get an 'independent' perspective. also, cronk has defended flanno and he knows a thing or two about half backs.

Yes the KARENS have gone wild since our season has ended. Flanno is a dud, Friend and Boyd are stuffed, JWH is a crock, , the Moz boys are past it, and the list goes on. Yes we couldn't make history AGAIN this year, yes we were busted for the last 3 weeks, but there was no lack of HEART, and COURAGE. Just in case you didn't notice, we lost 2 semis by ONE point and FOUR points, and in reality we could have easily won BOTH games and be playing Melbourne this week. I understand disappointment, but it is no excuse for ranting and derogatory wailing from so called FANS, I hate those BITCHES.

In saying that we missed Cooper, I don’t think young Flanno is the long term solution.
why?
he just doesn’t have enough of an arsenal physically.
he has a good pass and a good kick........but that has been developed since he was 5 years old.
physically he can’t cope with big blokes running at him, and he doesn’t seem quick enough or strong enough to make a break.
I will seriously be surprised if he gets there. I hope so. You can guarantee he will work his arse offbarbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

With Radley coming back the answer is probably yes. But once again we are at the mercy of all our stars being on the field at the same time.
And to be clear. I have no problem at all with Flanagan as our long term halfback solution. Much like Pearce in 2013, we don't need a match winning halfback to win a premiership. The money saved can be spent on other match winners like Maloney/SBW/Keary/Teddy.

If he can add 5kg of muscle in the off-season, his D can be more effective. Look at Cleary now - he's built like Fittler/Wighton, and he's been pretty effective on 1:1 tackles on big forwards.
I'd give him another season.

Halves the size of both Flanno and Keary will always have problems with the big blokes running at them all game and even the Chooks big blokes had problems when the big blokes were running at them - vermin/riff/clappers games for instance and many others during the year.
Have them both defend on the wing instead
