Flanno made 28 tackles and 4 missed with a bung shoulder - Keary missed two tackles in the one run that resulted in a raiders try-had a poor last 3 games one has to say- if he goes to the dogs under barrett and kills it with a running game etc who is going to look silly then - Robbo doesn't like running halfbacks he favours the organising types nor running dummy halves either- Cook is the prototype dummy half under the current rules not the tackling machine types

he will be shipped off before his feet can touch the ground if he doesn't- its getting crazier all the time pearce coming back (how could they afford him in any case) - marshall being signed for 1 year as back up for keary/who ever is the half- next be an announcement that cronk is coming out of retirement and will be a permanent interchange player and be injected into to the game and do some on field coaching i.e like the 2018 GF

Walker will get a long term chance if he shows humility and a Roosters first mentality. Im sure the grounding he has already had will facilitate that though and he'll be fine.

                  • For me I think it is a harsh call as the kid is only on 29 games and did ok. However it is a business and we are well and truely still in the premiership window. The key is who is a better option and who is going to be the goal kicker. You cannot win with a part time kicker.
walker will not be ready next year so who is the bridge and who is the kicker?
As for Penrith and there juniors A player recruited from
Bathurst who goes through your system is exactly the same as most of the roosters players, so they can wank off as much as possible.

If he doesn't score 3 tries and win it for us in his first game he will be toast on here.

Like Freddy and Wighton, big running blokes that are near unstoppable from 10 out. Step, run, pass or kick.
I had similar thoughts yesterday - despite his size, he has a great step, ball skills, pace, defence and took some high balls. Looks pretty agile too. All on high school you tube of course. Was a fullback in both RU & RL I believe.

wait and see how he goes against men and season players - playing schoolboy footy - different proposition playing against seasoned players wanting to take your head off and bust your ribs etc

                              • Flanagan was dropped earlier in the season because he didn't take on the line enough. Robbo even said that publicly, which was unheard of.

He only got back in because Lam was injured. He may have gotten back in eventually, who knows?

Then when it counts most he ran for three runs total in our two finals. You could imagine what Robbo and the rest of them think if that.

The pressure that puts on Keary is immense.
