Flano to the dogs?

Very confused with the decision to cut Kyle out. Until the ill fated souffs game, Kyle was the leading point scorer and leading goal kicker. He also scored way more trys than Ryan Hall yet after one season he is told he wont be needed after 2021? I don't get it. Lam has been with us for a few years and hasn't shown enough to be considered as our main half but he is still here, but Kyle after 18 or so games with us plus a handful for the sharks being let go? There better be a very good plan to replace Kyles points!

I think Manu is our goal kicker next year.

My theory is that the Roosters are a very tight-knit team (for example, keeping Cronk’s shoulder injury a secret in the 2018 GF) and that Flanno is too close to his Dad to keep any in-house information to himself.

I also noticed that the week he got dropped, it was for the Dragon’s game! Pure coincidence maybe?

Note I have no inside info and this is pure speculation!

Well given that Cronk was bought in to stop the final series rot of previous seasons, and we just had our worst final series as premiership favourites under Robbos tenure,the stand in has to go.

Hopefully Robbo says something in the coming days to shed some sort of clarity on the decision. Flanagan played well in his first full season. You’d think he’d only improve next season

Robbo has seemingly lost it and this was clearly demonstrated with his reaction in the coaching box vs Riff- Dumping Flano is crazy as if Lam and or Walker don't work out which is a big possibility what next??. Better judges than any of us are saying Walker is not ready for NRL and needs a full season in reserves as well as putting on a bit of bulk and working on aspects of his game especially defence.

A lot on here don't rate Lam at all let alone as the starting half in 2021- If Lam starts at half SST will be the main goal kicker for instance - If this decisions turns into a disaster then Robbo has to fall on his sword and let Fitzy take over.

Robbo admitted faults in his coaching during the year which is the first time iv'e heard him say these things and maybe he is in need of a break and a new voice is needed in the dressing room /at training including new methods of playing.

I think given Robbo's record, it only makes sense to trust his judgement on the call.

Time will tell.

I personally think Flanno deserves at least the first half of 2021 to grow as a halfback and show he has what it takes.

But then again, it could be a case of where there is smoke there is fire in regards to cultural/interenal issues from earlier this year.

We really don't know. Just gotta trust Robbo.
