Exactly, If lam killed it and stayed on the field we would be laughing right now saying flano who?

we will see in 2021 then - Lam at half and SST goal kicking or a Tyro half playing against men not boys - smelling like 2016 to me

My interpretation is that Walker was able to field offers from 1/11/2020 so to get him re-signed there had to be some incentive to stay- if Flanno stays Walker would be 3rd half behind Lam and Flanno- (could overtake Lam and be number 2 but still not number 1) - Reportedly the Club has some cap issues also.

They were going to re-sign Walker in any case despite not having played this year so they had two choices punt Flanno or Lam- Lam is the son of a club legend so he wasn't going anywhere so it was Flanno to be punted.

There wasn't room for 3 halves on the books

As good as any theories out there i suggest

            • It was only a matter of time for the signing to go sideways. I never liked the signing due to the club having to be involved with his old man.

We were reportedly going to buy Pearce two days ago, and now we are reportedly needing to get rid of all our players to stay under the cap.

As you saw with Latrell (and Ryan Cross a few years ago) the Roosters not the club to be held to ransom. I don't believe for a second that we are in salary cap trouble due to Teddy or whoever else the media will lead you to believe is holding us to ransom.

                  • Perhaps we've gotten rid of Flanno because of his annoying as ****, meddling rather. He's been in the media having a sook over Kyle's time at the Roosters a couple of times this year.

Probably the best speculation I have heard.

Any father worth his salt would stick up for his son, and ofcourse the press would have been onto him to create a story, so saying he was having a sook it ridiculous.

                        • Not sure old flano should be ridiculed for sticking up for young flano his son either - some on here need to get a grip on reality - he's just being a good supportive father and leave it at that

                          • It’s a fine line isn’t it.

thanks Salvo but I think there must be more to the story.
he wasn’t that bad this year

                            • the Roosters are getting rid of Flannagan because he has not improved. Playing NRL for the year along side some of the best players in the comp because coached by the best coach in the comp, he did not improve at all. Even if he was not Mr wonderful if he had improved through the year then they would not be punting him

He can do that at home. It’s not his business to get involved publicly. If my Dad got involved I would be highly embarrassed.
