The last 18 year old half back the Chooks had was often lambasted on here when the Chooks lost and then Championed when they won - So anything short of a Premiership is a failure now it seems - so if they dont win next year with say Walker as the half as a lot are wanting him to be do the Chooks dump him too??

Its crazy time - they will be forced to pick Walker over Lam if this occurs as otherwise SST will have to do the goal kicking - been a long time since a team had a frontrower as their main goal kicker - go back to the mid/late 70's with George Grant at the Dragons- certainly not the way to go in the modern game.

Chooks needing cap space is interesting as they are paying top dollar for some players so a problem will be sufficient depth in the squad who are NRL level players.

The last time we got rid of a half back that many thought was dumb replacing him with an "old has-been" worked out well for us.
In 2018 everyone thought we didn't have a goal kicker once Gordon left. Trell came second.
I doubt Robbo and Uncle Nick would get rid of a player without having a plan in place.
